After two months of long intervals between the long crank/no start issue, now has occurred three days in a row. Two times engine hot and yesterday morning engine cold (but had been driven 300 km's the day before). Anyone with no issues after the TSB done?

Still no pattern to this issue. We can go 2 or three weeks and truck starts every time. Twice long crank/no start last two days, both times after freeway travel and truck parked for 10 to 15 minutes. The long crank/no start yesterday in the Costco parking lot was almost 30 seconds, double what it usually does. Was nice of the Ram owner to walk over and ask if we needed a tow truck.

Hi Camille. Hopefully your truck had the 4 hour procedure to add the shim, and not the "cab off" method.

With less than 3500 km's our truck has had long crank/no start 5 times. The last one was a cold start in the morning. All were using push button start.

Not speculation nor an opinion, just curious if this issue has affected 3.0 trucks assembled in all of GM's assembly plants. Our truck came out of Fort Wayne in May.

The trucks are programmed to shut off after idling for a period of time.

We experienced another no start this past Sunday. Day before traveled 300km's. Truck was no start cold at first use Sunday morning. All other times the truck had been driven and parked for various times from 15 mins to 2 hours. Dealer called yesterday and wants it a full day to do the multi-hour long inspection to determine if bent exciter wheel.

Drove truck for first time in dark last night and even with high beams the reach is so poor. Dealer adjusted levels after Bilstein's installed. Any suggestions where to search greatly appreciated.

We have a new RST and first time drove in the dark on our mountain road full of deer. HORRIBLE headlights, even with high beams we can't see very far ahead. Now searching for options to improve. Suggestions anyone??

We took delivery of our 2021 RST 3.0 third week of June. Over 4 weeks and very little use (less than 1000 km's) truck had no start/long crank issue 4 times. Tried to determine a pattern of vehicle use, parking on slope, no foot on "gas" pedal, definite engagement of push start button, etc., but seems to be random occurrence. Always restarts at 2nd attempt. In B.C. surrounded by wildfires in our area so we are concerned no start issue might become more severe and truck won't start at all. Dealer inspected truck July 24th, ran some diagnostics (not sure what), and promised to let us know as soon as possible when they have more info from GM. Still waiting, but no further start issue since the dealer visit. Will get them to deal with the noisy and annoying rear springs as well.

Ouch. I'm closing in on 8 weeks.

Hi rv245. I had the Firestone Ride Rite airbags installed last week. What a difference when towing the loaded little dump trailer or the boat...no more sag. Haven't hooked up the travel trailer yet but the tongue weight is close to the loaded dump trailer. With the Bilsteins and airbags the ride quality is great. Now if only that back ordered Leer canopy would arrive!!

I hooked up our little fully loaded dump trailer yesterday and with the Bilstein 5100's the ride over bumps was excellent. Zero back end sway or bounce as the shocks are quick to settle the truck down. Only thing of note is the rear springs of this truck are quick to sag even with the tongue weight of the trailer empty. The airbags will definitely help.

Hi there! I've always run big tall tires but with this truck decided to initially start with LT275/65R18.

Our new RST Duramax finally arrived! I had dealer install the 5100's with the fronts set at at 2", and now the truck looks level front to rear. Front's are # 24-293297 and rear's are # 24-293471. The ride with the Bilstein's is excellent. Added Toyo AT3's (definitely more aggressive looking than the AT2's on our old truck, but much quieter). Side steps are GM's 4" round. Ordered a Leer canopy at the same time as the truck but told still weeks away with production delays. Have various trailers for business and personal use so we are having the Firestone Ride Rite airbags installed at same time as the canopy. This will help keep truck level when the heavier trailers connected and/or truck bed full of gear.

Awesome!! Thank you for posting so quickly. Going to run Toyo AT3's / LT275/65R18's on the truck. Your truck looks great with the 2.0 setting on the front / 1.5" block on rear. I was trying to find a 1" rear block kit from MotoFab but they can't get the materials to produce them right now. Our dealer has no trucks in stock to even look at right now but wonder if your truck came stock with rear blocks??

Hi OctavianCDA Our new RST with Duramax / Z71 hopefully arrives from factory later this month. Have the 5100's to install but undecided about the front setting. Our son's truck is a 5.3 and he has set at 2.5". Looks very tall in front. Heard the 3.0 is a little heavier and sits about .5 inch lower. Would you be able to post a side picture of your truck? Interested to see if your truck is level or has slight rake. Many thanks!
