  1. Latest update. Truck was in shop for 3.5 weeks. Think it was being used as a guinea pig by the GM engineers. App could not connect to it the whole time. Said there was something plugged into the diag port. Picked up today. Told to drive regardless of cel coming on. Per fm engineers. My karen(used to be a karen in her old days, not like the ones you see today but didn't take sh@t!) LOL we requested in writing that it was ok to drive with cel on. Denied. Told them we have lost faith in vehicle. I don't trust it if I have to travel for work. Mentioned buy back and lawyers. Got to see the dealership GM rep. Verbally agreed no issue if l Cel comes back just keep them updated. Agreed. They are going to ask gm Corp to give us 72/100k for warranty. Plan b is if issue is still not resolved in a few months, vehicle swap basically. So we shall see how this goes. Just not looking forward to possibly getting lawyers engaged. Have me and the boss some piece of mind. As it stands we have had the truck in our possession 50%of the time since March. Want reviews on other vehicle models got me up. Acadia, numerous buicks, even a Tahoe that was an actual rental. Truck mfg date was last year so I think it was worked on by a mechanic building it with covid. Lol truck is sick just like the world today!
  2. I have driven so many loaners I could be an expert on other vehicles not to buy. Lol the most comfy was the enterprise rental they had to get me - 21 Tahoe. The gmc 21 acadia was nice and sporty/peppy (v6) both way better than the envision and a smaller one I think. Truck has been in shop since last Tuesday. No update yet. Did hear from the head tech/ mechanic they are going to offer me an additional extended warranty for the motor. Not sure how long though. If it happens again after this time we are getting a lawyer. I will be done, sad but done!! I love the truck but can't drive something I don't trust.
  3. Spoke to soon. Cel back after almost 2 whole weeks with it. Think that was the longest streak. Taking back in and going to ask them to buy it back if possible. Not sure if the whole process.
  4. Picked up truck sat before last. A whole week with no CEL. Code update to computer and relearning of the cam so says the shop receipt. Will see if I can get 2 weeks in.
  5. Truck has been in shop for past 2 weeks. Told them I don't want it back until resolved. They had to rent a vehicle from enterprise for me to drive due to no loaners. Got the call this past Wed that the computer had been updated and I can pickup my pickup... we shall see, I have never heard of engineers getting code done that quickly. Lol fingers crossed. If anything else goes wrong the truck is going back and I'm getting my money back or demand upgrade to the diesel model. Lol
  6. Truck back in for 5th visit but at my request. I just was not confidante in the truck. 20-40mph experiencing best I can describe is stuttering with acceleration. Only does this when cel is on. After a few days of no driving the cel will turn offand once or twice it would turn off while driving. Then truck would be normal, no issues. Anyway I called the service dept stating I'm not confident that the truck won't leave me on the side of the road again. Asked them to get me a loaner until they resolve the issue and truck should be there at the shop until then. They had no loaners, so they had to engage enterprise rental car. Driving a 21 white(yuk) Chevy Tahoe with less than 3k miles. First full size loaner the dealership gave me. Anyway the rental required approval from GM themselves per my service mgr. So if that's true, I'm hoping the engineers are actually working on the fix. Question is can I trust the vehicle after all this mess. Oddly my Facebook feed the other day popped up a post from some lemonlarry. Ad meant to look like a post I think. It was listing 19,20,21 sierras and Chevy. Guess they are trying to get a class Action going. Didn't click on it.
  7. We have had same issues. Purchased mid March 2021 AT4 drove 2 weeks about 700 miles and CEL comes on. Take it to dealer P0300 code misfire, cleared error and gave back a couple of days later. Had a week or two and it comes on again cleared again. Very next day on again. This time they crack open engine and change lifters, coil, coil wires and some sensor. Drove hour and halfout of town and truck shuts down, towed to shop. Dealer says bad coil wire and software code issue. Beyond frustrated. Told GM engineers are working to fix software, and to drive with light on, which is quite scary. Would love to know if others having same issues. Rare week it was home. Lol
