  1. https://streamable.com/w9b20n That's video of inside my dash, no clue where the resistor should go. Also here's a picture of the blower motor open, doesn't look like any resistor is built in but I'm not sure, the screws have solder in them so I can't really pip them out right now but I don't think there's a resistor in there.
  2. My blower motor doesn't blow hard at all, maybe medium power at most. My controls work, it goes from low to high but compared to my other 2015 2500, it doesn't even compare. Replaced the blower motor, same issue. Bought the resistor from rockauto but can't find anywhere online that shows its location or how to access it. I read on another topic someone said it's built into the blower motor, but when I looked at the new blower motor and resistor, it isn't a part of the blower motor assembly. Any help is much appreciated Resistor looks like this
  3. After taking my truck to several garages and no one could pinpoint my problem I decided to just do trial and error. The noise that I hear sounds like a grinding with different severity of the sound. It only happens under load / acceleration and happens randomly. when I let go of the gas it stops when I press the gas again it will come back it sounds like it's coming from underneath middle/rear. Also when the grind noise happens, the RPMs go up slightly, and when it stops they drop again. (transmission/transfercase issue maybe?) First I removed the front drive shaft and took it for a test drive the noise still persisted. I put the front drive shaft back and removed the rear drive shaft and took it for a test drive, the sound went away. I started at the rear diff I took it apart cleaned it put in all new bearings checked pinion and gears for wear and they were good, as well as the contact pattern was good. Put everything back together, same sound. Drive shaft is good, u joints etc. So I ruled out the entire back end. What would you do next for diagnosing the sound?
  4. Update: removed front drive shaft, test drive gives me same noise. Removed rear drive shaft, took for a drive and noise is gone. Mechanic friend told me most likely bearings in rear diff. Took it apart, all bearings looked fine and gears etc all tested good and within spec, but replaced bearings anyways. Just finished test drive, same sound Could it be a unbalanced drive shaft? Or am I looking at transfer case issue? Any help is much appreciated thank you
  5. 2014 gmc Sierra Denali 6.2 Oil pump replaced not too long ago maybe 30xxxkm All maintenance done on time and early No signs of anything bad in oil when changing oil Issue I'm having is when my truck gets up to temperature, the oil pressure will drop to 6-10psi on idle. I have the p06dd light on, but it only comes on when I get it to temperature and idle for 5 min. If I don't let the truck idle when at temperature, the p06dd light doesn't come on. Also if I idle on a cold engine the pressures are good and no light comes on either. It's weird to me that only when the engine is hot, does the light come on and does the pressure drops. When it's below 90-100degrees Celsius, the pressures stay good. Faulty pump/solenoid or is there another issue I'm missing? Also replaced oil pressure sensor and have been using updated oil filter from gmc.
  6. Was having ac issues Replaced compressor (new gm genuine) Found leaks in 2 o rings, I replaced all o rings Vacuumed and found no more leaks Charged system and all is well with compressor Only issue is the fans will not turn on when I turn on the ac. I tested the fans on all speeds using my autel scanner (dealer grade scanner) And both fans work perfect. Also found corrosion on the back plug connector (not the plug nearer to the top that you can see) to the ac pump, so I stripped the wires and soldered them directly to ac compressor. Not sure what that plug is used for so not sure if a bad connection may be the issue but I'm certain the connection is good. Assuming connections and everything else is fine, what steps would I take to find out why the fans won't spin with ac on?
  7. I'll drain fluid after I test removing front drive axle
  8. I'll try this today or tomorrow. If the sound goes away, I can assume it's the differential?
  9. No I'm 99% sure it's in the drive train just don't know how to diagnose transfer case or diff or cv axle without opening everything up
  10. Currently has 180xxxkm (111xxxmiles) I bought the truck last year at 160xxx and it's been making that noise the whole time. I also had the engine rebuilt at 170xxx due to a lifter collapsing/breaking apart and scoring my camshaft. But before and after the rebuild the noise is still the same. Transmission fluid was also replaced during the engine rebuild.
  11. This grinding noise comes and goes randomly. Sounds like it's coming from directly under the dash but kind of more on the drivers side (maybe because i only hear it while driving and Im on that side) It doesn't happen when I'm idle, I believe it's something in the drive train. It only happens when there's a load/tension on the drive train. It's not a constant sound but very often and I can't recreate the sound by turning or certain RPM's or anything, just comes and goes. The sound can also be a lot louder and rougher at times and sometimes a more subtle sound. Sounds like gears or splines grinding. When I hear it, I let go of the gas petal and press it again and it will go away. Cycled through all 4x4 options, makes no difference. I checked drive shafts and they seem pretty solid, nothing else obvious. Transmission is solid as well. I was thinking maybe transfercase but I'm not too sure. Any help or ideas please? Thanks
  12. I have stabilitrak and abs light and warning coming on consistently and my theft deterrent warning occasionally. When my theft deterrent warning comes on, it usually takes a few turns of the key before it allows the truck to crank , it feels almost like I have a dead battery but battery and alternator are good. Happens maybe twice a week. I believe it started during a heavy rain storm we had , I had to drive through a decent sized puddle (roughly 2 feet of water) to get home. now I’m having issues with these lights and sometimes my steering stiffs up or is a little jerky while turning at low speeds. not sure if it may be a corroded ground or just a stabilitrak sensor ? any help is much appreciated! Thank you
