  1. I think my 2025 also only notifies me when the inner tailgate is down, but not the whole thing.
  2. I was saying the opposite the other day. I tend to see way more GMs at RV parks than anything else. I live in Michigan, but recently visited Maine and thought the same thing.
  3. I agree. My 2022 2500 mirrors would rattle more. Not bad, just large bumps. I feel like my 2025 3500 doesn't rattle as much.
  4. Your dealer prep comment is what I see too.
  5. I did something similar with my B&W hitch. It used to rattle a bit over bumps in my 2022 2500. It was installed by the place I bought it from. When I moved it over to my 2025 3500, I tightened the nuts that are on the handles to lock into the puck system. While the handles require more force to turn now, the hitch doesn't rattle.
  6. I feel like my 2025 mirrors rattle much less than my 2022 mirrors did. Now the tightness of the trim on the outside of the 2025 mirrors seems a bit to be desired. Although, so far I haven't heard or seen any issues with the trim. Just when you dry it off it moves around at the seam a lot.
  7. Both trucks are crew cab, standard bed, diesel, 4x4, fifth wheel prep, 20" rims. The 2500 had the snow prep and the 3500 did not. On the 3500, front axle is rated at 5600 lb and tire pressure is specified at 60/80 psi. I thought the front axle on the 2500 was rated at or over 6000.
  8. I recently went from a 2022 GMC 2500 Denali to a 2025 GMC 3500 Denali. For some reason the ride in the new 3500 is considerably better. Here are a few variables that I know about: 2500 had the snow plow prep package and the 3500 does not My 3500 came with 65 psi in the rear tires and I normally ran 70 psi in the 2500 Chris
  9. I think your thought might be exactly what I have going on. The axles are in about the middle of the trailer. It is the ultra-lite series 5th wheel so I bet they were trying to minimize tongue weight.
  10. Thank you for the suggestions. The fifth wheel hitch is using the puck system. I don't think there is any adjustment on the jaws. I think most everything was tight at the hitch, but it seemed like the trailer was exerting a lot of force on the truck when going over bumps and things like that. The front of the trailer was a touch high. I remember working with Camping World to balance the distance between the bed and the trailer, with how level the trailer was. To maintain a minimal distance between the bed and trailer, the front of the trailer was an inch or two high.
  11. I had the recall done awhile back when it first came out. The other day I went through the car wash. it was around freezing temp, but I knew I would be parking the truck in a heated garage when i got home. The following morning I come out to the garage and my tailgate was down. I thought it was odd, and it sucked because it must have leaned up against the garage door catching some of the hinges as the door opened. I took my son to school and when I parked, I could hear a relay chattering like crazy. My son gets out and says your tailgate is down. At least when the truck was in drive, the relay chattering stopped and the tailgate would stay closed. I looked at the switch and yes, some crummy electrical tape was applied to the back of the switch. I just unhooked the switch and coincidentally my new truck came in a week later.
  12. I pull a Rockwood 2981bh which is very similar to your fifth wheel. I was using a GMC 2500 standard bed crew cab with a B&W Companion hitch. I also feel there was a lot of "chucking" while towing. I recently had to turn my lease in and purchased a 2025 GMC 3500, but haven't towed with it yet.
  13. A quick read through this topic had me thinking you can strive for best possible tire wear and life. If you pay to have your tires rotated then there is another variable you need to consider. At some point there will be a crossover where the more you spend in tire rotation won’t pay off in tire life. If you can do the rotation yourself then that crossover point will be at a different and lean more toward doing the tire rotations.
  14. Today I received two emails from GMC. First that my truck had been produced and then about an hour later that my truck is being prepared for delivery. Yesterday, I came across an article that said GM and Jack Cooper are now in negotiations and Jack Cooper has stopped shipping vehicles. It mentioned that Corvettes were being pulled off of trucks as a result. I wonder if this will affect my delivery time. My vehicle was produced in Flint, I believe, and my dealership is not that far away. Today is Feb. 10 and I submitted my order on Jan 13. The same day I ordered it was accepted by GM. This is for a 3500 Denali, diesel, with fifth wheel prep.
  15. I finalized my order the other day and GM accepted the order the day it was submitted. The sales rep said that was the fastest he has ever seen an order accepted. Now my waiting starts. I still have a truck that I enjoy so not too bad.
