  1. If you're getting a signal to the actuator, and it's not working, odds are the actuator is the issue. It's just a relay in the actuator. Brakes are in a abusive location, so things will happen. You can check the actuator response with a tester, but if you're into the part and it takes all of two bolts to replace it, just replace it. You did all the hard work getting into it.
  2. Do you have more than one user on the truck? I went through the other users and deleted apps too. For me - it was the Alexa app only that stopped the flashing message.
  3. I only deleted the Alexa app and it stopped mine. It will pop up at start maybe once - but it won't flash anymore after that.
  4. Mine started this yesterday. Fiddled with the settings with no luck. Am I missing something?
  5. Figured out the rear brake e brake. There are electric actuators that attach to the caliper. It basically squeezes the pad rather than the hydraulic piston in the caliper. They're about $45-65. Looks like an easy bolt on with a wire lead.
  6. The only brake control module that I can find listed is for the trailering brake. ACDELCO 84825497 is the part number. The E brake is electric, so there has to be a control module for that I assume. I haven't replaced the rear brakes yet, is the e brake cable activated? Tim - FYI the dealership charges $240 for just the front pads that you can buy the same ACDelco ones at Rock Auto for $40. Labor charges add more to the mix. Heck, I'm an engineer in the 1st world (are there second world countries?) who has done many brake pad replacements. I trust my work over an unknown technician at the dealership. I've been personally burned so many times by dealership service.
  7. I've owned several newer Jeeps and a Subaru Forester that both used oil. The Subaru would constantly kick on the low oil light about 2/3 way through its typical oil change period. I think it's a common biproduct of newer engines unfortunately.
  8. Mine will randomly tell me that new brake pads were detected. Mostly when I start it up after driving in snow earlier. I always think that there are magical brake pad fairies that swap out my pads while I sleep. It goes back to normal pretty much instantly.
  9. Mine does too. I work on I-95 reconstruction, so it's double for me. ha ha The relays behind the dash are loud too. They start clicking like the old arrival board at the train station.
  10. Looks interesting. I need a new log grate anyway.
  11. New member doing the intro. Long time Jeep forum member. Family outgrew the JK Unlimited so I picked up a 2020 crew cab Sierra 1500. It's been nice - why I bought it. Few things about me: I can't park this truck. Past 10 years in a few 4 door Jeeps had me spoiled. I own a 95 F-150 that used to feel large when I drove it. Now? It feels like an old Ranger to me. I bought a 1995 Jeep Wrangler - square headlights one - new in early 1996. While in college. I'm a highway engineer. I run a few highway reconstruction projects. Own a 95 F-150, 95 Jeep Wrangler and a 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Chief Edition (old school looking model)
  12. I picked up this 2.7 2020 GMC in mid-December. Notice that it has several oil spots under it every morning. I have about 35k on it. Shifts badly when decelerating around 20-15 mph. Spots seem to be under the transmission rather than the engine. Is this what I'm in for with this truck?
