  1. I too had the module recently swapped at an oil change. I have a 2022 Load Trail dump trailer I pull regularly and have noticed an improvement but not elimination of the disconnects.
  2. The picture from the link @BuckWallace provided looks to me like a material thinning issue during the stamping process. The drip rails in that area have pretty tight radii in the corners, if the factory received material not to spec, this process was designed maybe a little too close to the splitting of the material (or not accounting for material thinning during cab stress tests), or if someone at the factory on the press just thought "hey imma know better than dem stooopid enganeers" and changed the process set points without validating the impacts on the end panel this for sure could happen. I hope it's not on my new HD! lol
  3. Pretty much my concern as well. I would strongly prefer to have physical gauges with the LCD in the center of them. One big screen is enough for me but I didnt really want to go with a super low trim to get this. I would think this would be a safety concern for any of the big 3 honestly. @Robg87 glad it was a no cost fix this time. Maybe I got snookered but I got the extended warranty because these types of things are so hard to diagnose as a home mechanic and even if you can figure it out the screens are still super expensive.
  4. @Johnjr @CRApex @215robert have some savage looking rides with the new larger tires on them. I just picked up my truck and intend to put BFG K02s on sometime next year depending on how the stock Goodyear Trailrunners hold up and perform this winter. I'll decide when I get there on 295/65/r20s or 35s. Seems they both fit fine based on what I could find looking around.
  5. Posting a final update on my build experience through Laura Buick GMC: I reached out to Laura on 9/22 and placed an order. It took about a week to get the documents and give a deposit. They placed the order 10/19 and the truck was built the week of Thanksgiving and was shipped a week later. It arrived in perfect condition in Collinsville on 12/7 and of course I dropped everything and went to pick it up on 12/8. Pics attached for your viewing pleasure! IMG_1565.HEIC IMG_1559.HEIC
  6. Thanks to @Pryme & others for bumping this thread from earlier this year. I just took delivery of my '24 GMC 3500 and will plan to check this weekend and let you all know what I find. I didnt read the entire thread but has this been correlated to either of the factories? I see Pryme has a Silverado and Ive taken note of several GMCs so is this just Flint?
  7. Another vote for M18 inflator for the win
  8. Hard for me to say. That ford looks to be pretty well stripped or burned out which would take a lot of weight off. Id be curious as to the balance of the load too. With that truck all the way in the back it's taking a lot of weight off the pin. You can see the dually seems like it is barely squatted. He may get into trouble loaded like that regardless of limits.
  9. You bet. I signed up for the emails through the help chat on the gm website though. I received the second email (Build started) from gm last week. Subsequently, I chatted with a gm help agent and she told me there is a Tpw of 11/14. I do not have the build complete email yet though. Now that Flint has rejected the contract I’m crossing my fingers my truck makes it to the lot complete before Flint decides to strike.
  10. Like @JStevie71 I received the email this morning (11/9) that they are building my truck. I believe this corresponds to event code 3400. Waiting on an update from Laura. So far Im quite happy with the process out of Laura. As much as I like to support local businesses I strongly recommend folks order from a larger dealership if they would like their trucks on a reasonable timeline.
  11. Congrats man. That is a sharp color combo
  12. I received confirmation that my order was accepted by GM on 10/19 but I do not have a tentative build date yet. I can update when I get that.
  13. Wanted to update this for everyone. I ended up leaving my order with the local dealer AND placing an order with Laura. The local dealer still does not have allocation and I have cancelled the order. I reached out to Laura on 9/22 and placed an order. It took about a week to get the documents and give a deposit. They placed the order yesterday 10/19. Overall experience has been good so far. Just crossing my fingers on the strike at this point!
  14. Welcome Matt I recently joined looking for info on ordering a new gas HD. Check out the ordering info posts on here if you do decide to go new. Check out “Fuelly” on the interwebs. It’s a site where you can track and research real life logged fuel mileage for different vehicles. Won’t get you info w camper but it’s pretty cool because it is real data. FB
  15. Funny a couple folks here mention Laura. I just found them through a local gent I know who has a substantial fleet and orders through them. Im looking into switching and ordering from them now. Will let everyone know how it goes...
  16. I ordered through Sauer's Buick GMC in La Porte IN.
  17. I am also getting a pretty good price. I reached out to several dealers and this dealership was local, seemed forthcoming, and had one of the best prices. $2k off MSRP. Agreed this is bragging for sure! ha! Congrats on getting your ride so fast, its awesome you got to see it built on top of it all. In the end I expected to wait 6 months so perhaps this dealership is still on track.
  18. Agreed. He seems to be very transparent with me so far which is why I haven’t started looking for another dealer already. I’ll give it through Thursday when he checks availability and go from there.
  19. I had the same thoughts. It seems suspect to me. He told me he did not have the allocation immediately after I ordered (which I was initially fine with) but has claimed the last 3-4 weeks he was unable to place the order saying “there are only 18 gas available in the us”. 4 weeks seems a long time to have an allocation but only for a diesel. He did show me a screen in his system that seemed to indicate this but it’s hard to say. Thanks for your thoughts. Depending on what others say I may check some other dealers.
  20. Hi gents I put an order in for a 2024 SLT 3500 CCSB with the 6.6 gas back at the end of July with a local dealer. At this point he is telling me that he has had the allocation but GM isn’t allowing him or any dealer in the us to place an order for gas trucks right now. Can anyone with a gas truck on order corroborate this? FB
