  1. When we had our -30 Temps, I learned the grease they used on the tailgate latch doesn't like to work. It took me multiple attempts of shutting the tailgate to get it to latch.
  2. I will have to check the door sticker to see if it's listed there.
  3. I will have to check the build sheet again to see if the connectivity option is on there. I thought I saw it.
  4. Do you pay for the top package?
  5. Just curious how many guys keep the service after it expires? I know they have different plans. I do enjoy the ability to lock/unlock and start the truck from my phone but I am not sure if I fully utilize everything else. My plan will be running out soon. Should I just get the cheap plan or dump it all together? Any tips on getting good deals?
  6. That is the tire size that is currently on the truck. I am not sure what these come with stock.
  7. Sorry been forgetting to reply with tire size. 285/75/18s
  8. Yeah I saw those. The stick on button is kind of janky. Appreciate it though
  9. Nothing popped up today
  10. I have yet to see one for a half ton.
  11. Yes. They didn't do a whole heck of a lot when we had -30 out the other week.
  12. Hello, Does anyone know of a quality winter front for these trucks? I don't want to drill or modify the truck in any way. The ones I found online either require that or they have you glue buttons on the grill as attachment points. My 03 chevy had a factory winter front that used felt hooks and that held it on. No modification was needed.
  13. I'll have to check the tire size but I had the speedo set at 82 and I was passing people like crazy. According to my GPS I was doing 90.
  14. Thanks. I just need to add a winter front.
  15. Gents, Is there a way to correct the speedo for larger tires? The dealership says they can't.
  16. Cardboard was my next option. Not my favorite but the cheapest for sure.
  17. I called the dealership and they said with the -20/30 temps we have had, they have had a rash of both gas and diesels trucks coming in with issues. I asked them if there was a factory winterfront for these trucks and they said no. Some online forums say the grille louvers are supposed to act as a winter front but they don't stop 100% of the air coming across the radiator. I did find an aftermarket winter front but it wanted you to use buttons to secure it to the grille. Not going to modify a new truck with those. Does anyone have a lead on a winterfront that you don't have to modify the truck to use?
  18. The 2012 f150 I previously owned didn't have an engine bay dipstick either. You had to crawl under the truck to access a small one located on the transmission. It was a PITA.
  19. Thanks. I did try it with both recirc on and off and there was hardly any temperature difference. I could hear the fan noise changing.
  20. I checked both coolant levels and they are about half way up each reservoir after the truck sat for 2 hours.
  21. "To test this theory manually crank the heat up for all zones to the maximum it will go and crank your fan speed to the maximum. If it puts out tons of heat then your problem is most likely in the sensors. " When I did this it wouldn't kick out much heat. It was still luke warm. My cell phone was sitting in the phone tray and when I went to pick it up it was freezing cold. I will check the coolant reservoir as I have not looked at it.
  22. Gents, I took my 23 Trail boss on a drive yesterday and on the way up to our destination I had the heat set at 74 and on auto. It would blow between cold and warm air but it was tolerable. If I increased it to a higher number, it seemed to warm up but never seemed to stay steady. Hot and cold. Today on our way back, I had it on High and auto but I was getting lukewarm air out of the system. The engine temp was normal. External temps were around -20 on both days. Any ideas on why? I looked for winterfronts but I can't seem to find any for the 1500's.
