  1. Thanks for the info, I’ve wondered how much power they supply but hadn’t seen it listed.
  2. I have a 2020 Sierra 1500 LS without those too, I was able to get factory fog lights installed without needing any non-factory modification. My local dealer installed them and the new light switch (same as factory and on the factory light switch panel) and they did whatever programming was required to make them work. I definitely recommend them. I did have to “go back” (from the Walmart right next door to them) twice as they didn’t get the program properly saved: worked fine in their shop and parking lot but when I tried them a minute after leaving they didn’t turn on, I can’t recall what the second issue was, but it didn’t take them long to fix and they’ve worked fine in the years following install. I too want to get a brake controller installed but have yet to do it. I’d really love to have a 110v outlet on the dash and in the bed so I wouldn’t need to hook up an inverter to charge my Milwaukee and dewalt batteries when working, but I don’t know if either of those are an option via GM (or even junk yard) or if I’d have to rig something myself using all aftermarket stuff.
  3. I’m wondering if any of you know when and what the next GMC Accessories sale will be. I’ve got a cart full of stuff that I’m wanting to order from GMC using my points, but the current offers only save me around 100 on a 1700 order. Last month there were better discounts but my company had me moving all over the place so I didn’t dare order, good thing too as I’m currently 1000 miles away from where I was. Do any of you know how often the discounts change and/pr have any idea what the next ones will be? FYI I’m getting a Blade tailgate light, fender flares, running boards, under-seat storage, tailgate gap cover, and new thresholds for my front doors.
  4. I’m looking to get a cargo carrier soon as I’ve zero space left in the bed and cab when traveling from project to project. Do any of you know the roof weight rating of a 2020 Sierra 1500 double cab? I’m trying to decide if I’ll go with a Thule Evo system that just clamps to the roof/upper-door-sills or if I should just get a full ladder rack to function as a base for a carrier.
  5. I’m looking for a tutorial vid or something too. Was just changing my turn signals to LEDs and one dropped out of the socket in the assembly. Guess I’ll have to do what an old boss used to scream at me over the phone whenever I called for advice “FIGURE IT OUT! <click>” .
  6. Do you know if they or a similar sliding one is available through GM (or other source) or do I have to hope for a marketplace/junkyard find?
  7. Oh, that sucks. I wish I could get them through GMC accessories at least, but no
  8. I just saw an ‘18 Denali that had thick chrome power running boards and the owner showed me that it has a kick pad on the end cap that when pressed power slides the steps toward the bed for toolbox access. He didn’t know what brand and that they don’t have any branding that he could find, he got them installed at the dealer when he bought it new. I’ve never seen such a setup and want to look into getting those. Do any of you know of a brand that has such?
  9. They're dropping support for such a new vehicle? That’s mystifying and maddening. I hated that my last truck, an 02 Silverado, had an unusable OnStar system but at least that was understandable seeing as I hadn’t bought my first 02 (had 3) until 2014 and cell tech had changed a lot. I’ve been hoping for updates to be available for my infotainment system that’d add some good features, even if I had to pay for them, but I guess at least they haven’t bricked it yet (knocking on wood)
  10. I have a 2020 Sierra 1500 SLE and haven’t had any software updates since April 2021. Occasionally I check for an update through the infotainment system but every time there’s still nothing. Have there been updates that my system doesn’t see or have there legit been zero updates in nearly 3 years? Last update was OnStar System Update v4.26 v1.0.0 on 2021-04-08
  11. I’d like to know too. Everything fit without cutting, and all behind the factory covers?
  12. Check out Crutchfield, they’re a pretty good source for info on what audio stuff will work in your vehicle. https://www.crutchfield.com/car/outfitmycar/mycar.aspx
  13. I have the OnStar WiFi in my truck to hopefully still be able to have a connection when my phone doesn’t have one. When I’m driving through bfe and lose my cell signal I don’t want my gps to stop updating nor podcasts or streamed-XM to stop playing. …unfortunately my trucks WiFi stops working a LOT, I couldn’t even guess how many times I’ve had to call OnStar to have them reset the connection. I still keep the plan despite the headaches because there have been times where it’s worked when my phone’s been otherwise offline. I do wish we could choose the carrier, or upgrade the modem so we could have 5G.
