My 2024 Silverado High Country with the 5.3 is leaking. Noticed it when I crawled under it to do the first oil change with about 4,500 miles on it. I bought the Truck at a dealer about an hour away because none of my local dealers could get the truck. However, I took it to my local dealer in Newark, DE Porter's Chevrolet 10 minutes from my house to have them look at it. They told me it was the Rear Main seal leaking. I dropped off the truck on a Monday late afternoon and picked it up Friday. I checked it the next morning and it was still leaking. Additionally, they had compromised the integrity of the Transmission oil pan by having used a large pry bar against it I guess trying to separate the Engine and Transmission. So, I took it right back on Monday. They again had the truck until Friday and told me they replaced another remain seal and housing, because GM won't let them just replace the seal. They also replaced the Transmission oil pan they damaged at no cost to me. I had a bust week and didn't get a chance to check it until the following week on a Saturday. Sure enough, it was still leaking. I called GM's Customer Care and have a Case number assigned and the GM Rep told me I could take it to a different dealer. So, I took it back to the dealer I bought it from in White Marsh, MD. They are looking at it and will get back to me tomorrow, but told me they may not be able to do the repair because GM already Paid Porters and won't pay twice for the same repair. I have a call into my GM Rep to see why he told me I could take it to a different dealer. What a mess. Might have to look at Dodge's for my next Truck. When I pay $70,000 for a Pickup truck I expect to be able to get it fixed when there is a Factory defect.
