I replaced my battery after 4 years at the dealer from a new purchase in 2020. These AGM batteries just don't die like the old lead acid. Need to be proactive with these AGM's in my opinion. The main reason I replied is I have had very intermittent infotainment screen malfunction issues. 1. Test pattern on the screen with normal audio. 2. No audio at all including the turn signals with normal screen display. 3. Black screen with normal audio. 4. Normal screen with no audio from the radio only. Turn signal sound was normal. 1 and 2 occurred about a year apart. 3 and 4 occurred 1 week apart in fairly cold weather. After the truck sits for a time, all malfunctions appear to reset and screen and audio return to normal operation. All updates are complete that I checked and the dealer also verified. Thanks for any thoughts on this.

I have a 2020 and have never had OnStar, so no experience with that. I do have an Android phone and use Android Auto on trips. I have not had any issues with maps, music from my phone or calls. I don't make too many calls out but any I receive connect without any issues. The split screen also is a nice feature.

I used a Weathertech seat protector and GM floor liners. Our German Shepard was sickly his last two years and made several messes. The seat protector contained all the mess and with a little soap then rinse with a hose and line dry ready for another mess. The floor liners work great for the little that he spread around. Paper towels and Fantastic or similar product worked great. I was a little concerned when I bought the seat protector as it had seat belt holes closed with hook and loop fastening system. No leakage or issues with that. I don't have any recommendations for seat backs or door panels.

I had the same lack of audio this year on my 2020. I drove it to the dealer, they verified, checked for codes and there was none. They gave me an appointment for a few days later. I shut it off and restarted with the same lack of audio. It sat overnight and the next day everything worked fine and continues to work fine months later. I'm sure someone on here has the answer to this.

I did a chat on the Michelin website and the below was their response. I used my size of 265/65R18 as an example. Michelin's response below. "The Primacy LTX can be mounted in any direction in your tire size." Recommend performing the same chat or contact the manufacturer another way with your size to receive your specific tire information.

I have 006X, then the week and year of manufacture to the right of this in a separate oval. I don't know what the 006X represents. This marking is on Michelin Defender LTX M/S.

Concur with the performance of the stock Rancho's. I kept the stock height on a non-Trail Boss suspension truck and went with the Rancho 9000's shocks and struts. Total was a little over $1500 taking to the dealer for installation. Well pleased with the ride. I set the rear about 3 and the fronts at 7. I do not tow or haul heavy and a daily driver.

I had the similar issue, a landscape staple in the sidewall. I did replace this one tire at 20,000 miles. At approximately 35,000 miles I chose to replace the stock tires with Michelin Defender LTX same size as stock from Costco. This was due to the poor wet traction of the stock tires which I believe were Goodyear. Your tires are going to age out soon so I would replace all four if you're planning on keeping the vehicle for a while.

I changed at 4 years for peace of mind with OEM replacement battery at the dealer. My last truck, I was planning on changing at 5 years and it did not make it. I also carry Schumacher Model SL 1452 Jump Starter/Power Pack.

PB Blaster Surface Shield I used on a rusty Jeep frame. I did not do any preparation, and a year later still had good coverage when it was sold. Recommend reading the MSDS and using personnel protective equipment regardless of the product chosen.

You received 86K trouble free miles. I would go with your option 1 and stay with the same engine new or remanufactured by GM with GM warranty. I'm not sure what GM's engine warranty is now but it used to be the same as a new vehicle 3 years 36,000.

The Husky Gearbox sits on top of the GM floor liner without any modification. The pricing is up there close to the GM. Seems to have good reviews, The link is for a double cab so if you may have to search for your year and model or go with the GM and guaranteed correct fit. The Husky Gearbox covers the jack and has to be removed by one wingnut to access the jack. The bag of jack tools is rite under the wingnut on the left side that secures the storage box.

I can't answer your question of 2.5 vs 2.0. I do have the same driving habits that you described, less towing. I had the same issues with the stock Ranchos nosediving and bouncing. I replaced the stock Ranchos with Rancho 9000's ordered from Rancho installed on a 2020 Double cab Z71. I had a local dealer install. It still rides like a truck but has some adjustment if needed. I run about 7 in the front and 3 in the rear and it rides much better than stock. I had them changed at 45,000 miles. I have about 15,000 miles on them now. I was going to go with Bilstein but there was a nationwide backorder at the time. Overall, I'm satisfied with the Rancho 9000's.
