That’s really interesting! I’ve been having a similar issue with my radio randomly freezing, and I never thought about the Bluetooth connection being the culprit. I usually keep my phone connected via both Bluetooth and a cable for charging, so I might try deleting the Bluetooth pairing and see if that fixes it.
