  1. What tool(s) did you use to cut this?
  2. Thanks - but there is no tiny battery in the module...are you referring to the small magnet that sits in the middle of the coil?
  3. What "module battery"? What did you do to get it to work?
  4. Come on man - seriously?
  5. What were the part numbers listed on the service order?
  6. Great news - you'll have to report back what they do. I'm assuming a module revision means they will install the 2018 charging module - don't really see how they could modify the 2017 module.
  7. Pictures? Instructions? Thanks.
  8. Me too - never thought the module would be here before the wiring harness - guess we just have to be patient with Phil and his suppliers.
  9. Same issue on my 2017 Yukon Denali - most of the time the driver's side will not be as flat as the passenger side. I too looked for obstruction, etc. - found nothing. If I cycle the electric folding mechanism a couple of times the driver side will eventually lay flat. If I can duplicate it I'll have dealer address at next visit.
  10. Now you'll have to find a cap for the key slot to keep it clear of dirt, water, etc.
  11. Next someone will want a cover for the key slot - it can accumulate dirt, water, rust, etc.
  12. I'm conflicted about this too - the SXM reception on my 2017 Yukon Denali is very spotty. My 2013 Suburban had perfect reception as does my wife's 2013 Lexus currently. I drive the same route with the Yukon and have reception blackouts...same route with the Lexus and no blackouts. That to me points to GM's radio and not a fault with SXM.
  13. I have been an XM subscriber for more than 10 years and I have never experienced such poor reception as I do now on a 2017 Yukon Denali. I've had the XM radios on pre-2017 GM vehicles, Porsche, BMW, Lexus and they all worked flawlessly. Not sure how we get this fixed. I'm ready to tell XM that reception is so bad that I'm going to cancel my subscription - maybe Sirius/XM will put pressure on GM to fix (doubt it though). Also, the problem is at GM's end not at XM's - I get signal drop-out on my Yukon in certain areas and then drive the same route, same day and approximate time in my wife's Lexus and no signal disruption.
  14. My 2017 Yukon Denali suffered from random "missing" - car would run rough, jerk and chug at idle and only sometimes throw a CEL. Dealer had it for 2 days, couldn't duplicate and no saved codes. Happened again yesterday on the highway, flashing CEL and was able to get OnStar to run a diagnostic while heading for the dealer - OnStar said P0300. Light was still on when I pulled into dealer. They determined bad injector and are replacing - we'll see if this fixes it. When it would start to miss it felt as if car was driving over those rumble strips you occasionally see on the highways.
  15. I was worried about the Onstar diagnostics too but as I said my device is in 24/7 and I received my first report via email and there was nothing about anything plugged into the OBD port. I'm waiting for the next one to see if the same occurs.
  16. I'm using Range AFM Disable (version R8.1) on 2017 Yukon Denali 6.2l - no issues. I leave it plugged in 24/7. I was just interested in AFM disable so didn't buy a tuner - when I go to the dealer I just pull the OBD device - with a tune I'd have to go through the process to remove the tune - easy to overlook when going to the dealer.
  17. Make a copy of the bulletin as provided in the previous posts and show it to the service manager. Ask why he isn't doing what GM states should be done. Escalate issue to dealership General Manager and then to local GM ombudsman (or whatever they are called today). Seems like a known problem with a well-documented solution. Good luck.
