I have a 2018 GMC sierra with King 2.5 res shocks, it came stock with stamped steel UCAs. Currently I'm running Readylift tubular upper control arms. But due to tire rubbing and other issues, I've purchased JBA upper control arms. But I've run into fitment issues with the ball joint. on the stock knuckle there is a shoulder at the bottom of the upper ball joint hole. With the JBA UCAs the threads clear the shoulder, but a shoulder on the ball joint hits and keeps it from going in further. Through research Kryptonite and Cognito say a 6292 ball joint will fit. So I've purchased a Moog and Krypotnite 6292 balljoint and both times the threads are a slightly larger diameter than the shoulder on the Knuckle.
Has anyone else run into this and how did you solve it?
