  1. Thanks! Like i said it’s not loud by any means. My 2004 is louder (same shop did that 5 years ago). Low tone when idling and low rpms, but does get throaty when stepping on it, but not loud. I didn’t want something loud as I plow driveway later in the evening and early am. If you want something louder I’d suggest the super 40. I can take a rev clip if you want. Tips are 2.5” to 4” This has been a project for sure. Pretty sure it needs injectors to fix the hot start problem. Aside that if you need any pointers, happy to supply any info/knowledge I’ve gained here and doing work on it myself. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  3. M12x1.75 isn’t right. Maybe I’ll just swap the gasket. Sucks i have to drain 7 qts of oil though ha. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Hey guys, just changed the oil on my 2000 K3500 7.4l. Looks like the seal is failing. I ordered a new plug from rock auto but it wasn’t even close. All listed for my engine show the same size which cannot be right. Does anyone know the correct size? No ac deco part # on lookup. I’d assume just get a new plug with gasket. 5. My truck has front cv axels Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I’m guessing the sliding area. I’ll have to snap a pic. Not on the yolk. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Hey guys, was under my K3500 just looking stuff over. Found a grease zerk on my front drive shaft (from transfer case). I’ve never see one on a shaft like that. I cleaned it up, and greased it. And put a cap on it like i do with all zerks. Took quite a bit, 9-10 pumps. Is that a common zerk spot for 1 tons? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. That knock sensor made my 2004 silverado run like trash. Way under powered. I'd imagine that's your problem.
  9. Well, the exhaust rotted out finally. Had a local reputable shop do it all. I just ordered tips and mufflers. Went with flow master FX mufflers, and jones tips. Turned out nice, sounds good, not crazy loud but gets throaty when i really hammer it. I’ve already noticed a drop in running RPM (100-200). Seems like it needed to breathe better. Anyway, knocked that off the list! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Still has warm start issue. I’d bet money on injectors..... damn. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Well, she’s all back together. Runs like a top! Actually accelerated and decelerates better. More pick up. The deceleration isn’t like and engine brake now. Overall runs good. Started on the first try. I also noted the fuel pump much more quiet during idle (standing outside of the truck). I took it for a spin obviously. I’ll be curious to see it’s mpgs now and I need to warm start it to see if that issue is fixed now as well. 6 hour job taking my time. The plug bolts gave me grief getting off. 12. Plugs, cap, rotor, and wires all done. Onto putting the intake back on and finishing it tonight! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Plugs are out Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. There was also no fuel pressure to release on the rail. Is that normal? Truck has been sitting for a few days without a start. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I did get the o ring out of the FPR housing/cup as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Finally getting after it. Map and fuel pressure regulator replaced. Going to do cap, rotor, and plug wires I think. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Just want to add to this, the last tank i filled up I got 12.9mpg. That’s pretty good for a 1 ton. I’ll be pulling my small trailer with 2 ATVs this weekend, I’ll be curious to see if it does the same thing as my big enclosed. (The running rough and eating fuel). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Interesting. It’s got the actual side throttle body, not the goofy TBI of the 80s/90s. I did replace one of the 2 throttle position sensors. At least I believe there are 2. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I still haven't gotten around to doing the upper plenum yet. I did find a factory GM bumper a guy has had sitting for 15 years... so with a little effort and my grinder, I put it on. No more dented bumper. I had tested the 4WD after the recent ice storm and had a hell of a noise on the passenger side, even wheel hop! Took it out of 4WD, issue is gone. I was betting it was the CV axle. Well, this past weekend I replaced the CV axle and no more noise! Plan to change front diff fluid and transfer case fluid. I am going to start to look at a weekend to get this plenum off. I have everything I need. Truck hasn't acted up at all. I did haul a bed full of wood 1 hour in 2 directions and it never hesitated. I have all of the front end parts in my cart... $300 worth. That will be on deck soon, all parts are shot, lots of play in steering by grabbing a tie rod.
  20. Done! They were shot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
