  1. I do like the black bumpers. Now, time to deal with the rake
  2. Looks tight. Not a lot of working room. Hows yous knuckles?
  3. My 2025 1500 std bed big cab has a worse turning radius then my 2012 2500 long bed with big cab. Still learning how to park it.
  4. I assume the Picture is the 2014 wheels. I had similar ones on my 2012. I like those.
  5. The amount of storage in the rear seat area is huge. You can keep all your cycle gear dry and clean back there
  6. I think it would be the same answer / question concerning adaptive cruise control when slowing down for traffic in front of you. I would also question the braking controller you have in your TOAD. When I was towing my jeep behind my MH the brakes would apply based on force and then apply the lights accordingly.
  7. This is the key. Average on your DIC is based on miles average. Where miles may be able to be set at low range or high range (or between). I just keep in mid that I have 2 gals left and mentally calculate how far that will take me based on current driving. Highway may be up to 40-50 miles. Town would be closer to 30ish. Then travel no more then half of that. I have observed that the last 2 gallons of fuel goes alot faster then the first 2 gallons This holds true for just about any car. My Santa Fe starts at 500 mi range and I better get gas before 390 miles.
  8. Living with my son or daughter would be fine. It would be their spouse I could not handle.
  9. You'd think with the cost of these new parts any updates would be wireless OTA.
  10. This is a cool idea. Seems a bit complicated (and expensive) just to get cameras to turn on. How much trouble is it to remove so you can use hitch to actually tow?
  11. Is there some sort of disadvantage to having the cameras on when not towing? What about the truck thinking there is a trailer attached? My Hyundai cameras come on when turn signals on. Towing or not. Why would GM not do this too?
  12. It's about priorities. It was important to my wife and I to have a house by 30. We worked, saved and figured out to get there. And we did. Later generations value other things like "experiences" over other basic survival items. Things like trips and vacations are important to them. Shelter and long term planning (savings) are not. They live in the now.
  13. I would stay very far away from PIRELLI SCORPION ALL TERRAIN PLUS E These came on my Hyundai Santa Fe and were replace within 10k miles. Blew out the sidewall. This tire is know for weak sidewalls. Over on the Santa Fe forums folks are complaining about reliability constantly.
  14. If i could, I would do a 35 gal tank on my 2025. With 1000 mile range, I can pick where i get fuel and where i stop to stretch.
  15. Did going from the 20s to the 18s change the ride quality? I would think more sidewall would offer a bit softer ride. Although the tire may also impact the ride quality. My 2500 I went from firestone to Faulkin wildpeak and ride quality really got better with an increased load rating
  16. Seems it has been promised but not delivered. It would be great to have dark mode here.
  17. The LZ0 is the best of both worlds. Good towing and good mileage. I tow a similar trailer with no issues with my 1500 duramax. I traded in the 2500 duramax for the 1500 and little difference in the towing experience. Most of my driving is 25-45 miles one way so fuel economy is important to me. However, the big caution is that owning a RV means changing the RV for the "next" one. This means a bigger trailer after a couple of years. So, I would caution against getting rid of the 3500. The 3500 is future proofing your RV experience. I feel safe with the 1500 and not going to a bigger trailer. This is my last RV. I do miss the 2500 from time to time when I need the larger capacity to tow a skid steer or something once in a while. But not enough to matter.
  18. That seems true. Until you start towing. I now carry a box of DEF in truck when I am towing my travel trailer. It seems to suck it down when towing. I have had to stop and get DEF once, just to get home. Now, I just bring some with me.
  19. This is not wrong. However you don't want to take a leap too far ahead else you find yourself lost with all the new features you did not learn through progression of devices. Think about going from a 50s truck to a new fangeled one today. Then wondering where the window cranks are and how come I cant open the wing vents. How come my seat got warm all by itself? Where do I put the key? So going from a iPhone 3 to an iPhone 10 my be a good jump to iPhone 17 in a few years when the iPhone 24 is released.
  20. You could always use a couple hand warmers in an insulated box. No power required.
  21. Are you gonna replace the rear shocks as well? When I leveled my 2012 2500 I did shocks on all 4 corners. Made a huge difference.
  22. That's just scary. That's what that is.
