  1. NH gets cheaper too but since I have this bad habit of changing vehicles every few years I never see that. It'll get down to pretty cheap with older stuff. Mass makes the bigger trucks get registered commercially I guess. A friend of mine's parents got screwed with that as they bought a Super Duty to tow their camper with and ran into some issues with a commie HOA about having a commercial vehicle in their driveway.
  2. NH is the same way. They may claim "tax free" but registration on my 2011 when new was almost $600. Plus $50 or so for annual inspection. Michigan has been about $150 with the parks pass which adds like $11. But of course they take something like 4.35% of my paycheck and 6% when I go to buy something with what's left after. Whatever, at least I can do pretty much whatever I want with the Jeep since there is no inspection here.
  3. No one uses metallic pads as OEM equipment and hasn't for ages. Just because you see shiny stuff in the pad doesn't mean it's metallic.
  4. Metallic pads will be horrible. Loud, dusty and so on. Honestly with brake pads I always recommend OEM. They may not offer the very best performance but they won't coat your wheels in gunk and they're quiet. Except on my Jeep, but I kinda have reduced expectations for a Chrysler product.
  5. Order what you want and wait. If you take nothing else from here notice how many "I wish my truck had xxxxx" threads there are.
  6. Do you have factory navigation? I can't speak specifically about that unit but the GPS has to know elevation for it to work right. It may well be that the unit just doesn't display it. In my Jeep and on the unit I had in my 2011 Silverado it was a bit buried in menus.
  7. Anything with GPS can do elevation.
  8. I'll take snow over what Chris got. You can always plow/shovel snow. Water, not so much. But yeah, winter has been tame here too. A few cold snaps but only one real significant snow storm.
  9. Put a new bumper and some anti-tailgater lights on the Jeep yesterday.
  10. They might do it for 2017. I don't know. But considering Ford and Ram offer proper keys on most trims still I'd happily buy one of theirs. Numbers are already available. And sales aren't broken down by class, it's F-series as a whole vs Silverado, etc.
  11. Keyless entry is far more complex than you seem to think. The existing hardware is nowhere near what is needed. 2-3 proximity transceivers (each door, the ignition switch) would be needed as well as all the wiring and programming to make it work. It won't happen. And Ford doesn't outsell GM combined.
  12. Kinda curious too. I think super dark tint is stupid but I can't see how tint would increase the odds of someone hitting you.
  13. Not what I'm talking about. In the event of some sort of disaster, someone will be able to flip a switch to tell all those autonomous cars to stay put. Right now they can close roads all they like but there's not enough manpower to block everyone so a smart person can still move around. The kind of car you describe puts your mobility in the hands of others. No thanks. Not ever.
  14. Not a fan of keyless entry/ignition. I don't want it on my vehicle. I can deal with the Ram shifter. It's weird at first but you get used to it. 10000000% opposed to autonomous vehicles. Not giving up freedom of movement.
  15. Damn lol they installed mine for free but that was back when I was shooting there almost weekly.
  16. The range in Manchester put night sights I bought on my Glock for me. This was several years ago now so I'm not sure if they might have moved their service work to the Hooksett store.
  17. You can use lead nose. Just gotta clean a little more after.
  18. I rented a garage stall in my apartment complex but they raised it to $75/month which didn't seem worth it so after having little reason to need it all summer aside from when I was too lazy to put the tops back on I'm back to dealing with snow and frost. At least I still have remote start and the Jeep makes heat crazy fast.
  19. I've driven two K2 pickups and probably 6-8 SUVs and none shook.
  20. But don't you have a level and slightly larger tires?
  21. Ryan dumping the O2s won't help. You have a total of 4- the rearmost pair monitors cat efficiency. Headers and a tune can delete those. This was detected by the pre-cat sensors and is likely a legit issue. I doubt it's a fueling issue. Could be a dirty or malfunctioning MAF, especially if you have a K&N filter. Could be a loose PCV hose. You added a catch can right? Check those fittings. I think a loose intake tube connection can do this too. Basically any intake leak past the MAF will do this. O2 sensors could be bad but a dual failure seems unlikely.
  22. Depends. If it's a dry-sump based system the tank/filter unit (guessing that's what it is) should contain the bulk of the oil. It's not like a drain and fill today gets everything anyhow.
  23. Blackbear proved even on port injection engines that a lot is left on the table using 87 vs 91/93. So the feeling of additional power is quite possible.
  24. Yours probably won't fail but it doesn't change that HIDs have no business being in halogen housings.
