  1. Going to try a HK VP9 at the range tonight. If I like it I'll probably buy one.
  2. Sorry, I realize I sound like an ass but I'd never let someone I cared about sit like that in a vehicle I am in control of.
  3. As in she reclines the seat while you drive? That's incredibly dangerous. Please don't tell me she's one of those feet on the dash types too.
  4. The swoopy 50s trucks don't do it for me. 63-72 Chevys are my favorite, followed closely by 73-87.
  5. People tend to view the past through rose colored glasses it seems.
  6. No truck will be simple to change the fuel pump on. They all require removing the bed or dropping the tank. Thankfully most cars have access panels but for pretty much everything on a full frame you're in for a bit of work. Never mind that on the German stuff the high pressure pump on direct injection systems is a four figure part before installation. The trucks use a cam-driven HPFP so hopefully that's cheaper.
  7. No. He has a business sign on the rear door. I see guys like that all over Indiana where most are made.
  8. Fleets keep the Compass and Patriot plant running. It needs to go but it's a big deal to idle a pant.
  9. I don't know anything about the DE brand specifically but plenty of people carry 1911s. They're pretty narrow which helps with how they carry. The length, especially if you can carry IWB is practically a non-issue.
  10. Nah the group trip was this weekend and work is too busy to take time off. Besides, Jeeps don't get stuck.
  11. You coming up here for that Lingenfelter meet this year? We can show them a superior midwest meet and greet. lol
  12. Cali's OC was a joke, all the activists at Starbucks and the like had to carry unloaded firearms I believe.
  13. Driving a V6 Camaro as my rental the past couple days. Other than backing out of spots, I don't get what the fuss is about visibility and for that you can get a rear camera. Only a few negatives- Seatbelts aren't height-adjustable so without using the keeper strap on the seatback they're too high and with the strap they're too low. This may just be a setting I'm missing but the steering wheel controls don't seek radio stations, only presets. Useless on a 300+ mile drive. It's also laggy in XM and has issues playing podcasts via USB but this seems to be common across many infotainment systems for some reason. Biggest thing is the ignition switch recall. I'd be furious at the shit quality if this were my car. The insert in the new traditional key fits extremely badly and they don't give you a new remote, just the now key-less fob with the switchblade button disabled. Looks so crappy for a car that Chevy should be proud of.
  14. Damn my 2011 had 73k when I traded it. Only stuff that I put into it besides mods was tires and a warranty repair on the TPS.
  15. They don't make them like they used to. When I was a kid I was mowing the lawn and out back the grass was tall and covering a small stump. Stopped the blade dead and ripped the mower from my hands and spun it like 90 degrees. Worked it free and kept going for years.
  16. Glock 32. At my side most days since 2009.
  17. A friend of mine used to work on the line in their Grand River plant (Traverse, Acadia, etc) and swears up and down they used Mobil 1 there despite those engines/vehicles not requiring it. No idea if it's true but he's usually not one to BS so maybe there is some truth to it.
  18. Z71 hasn't been anything but stickers and fluff for years now anyhow.
  19. The northeast is a drag for modding vehicles. Michigan has a vehicle code but no inspection. Apparently most officers can't be bothered to pull people over for it. A few summers back a friend got a pic of a rotted out 400-series truck that looked like it was about to break in half. Still being driven.
  20. I'm not telling you when I'm going. You're mean. lol
  21. Maybe he means both have the flag? Silver Lake requires vehicles to have the flag up front and quads/bikes on the back Darrick. I'm planning a weekend trip to SL in June with some friends. Hopefully no embarrassing stuck pics this time.
  22. Nice place! Unfortunately I don't see myself having time to pop on over to Washington anytime soon. Haha
  23. So there's this rule that if new members have cool guns they need to invite the mods over for some fun. You near Michigan by any chance? Haha
  24. My truck was a year newer and had 73k on it when I traded it. Already sold too. Never even got a full listing on the dealer site. Kinda bummed, I wanted to see how much they got for it. Jeep just hit 200 miles today. Looks like carbon. Supposed to help with odors.
