Please help!! I’m becoming extremely frustrated with the seats in my 2014 Sierra SLT. Here is the current situation, both front seats do not have working heat (lumbar and bottom) which leads me to believe that it would be pretty slim chances all 4 of those elements would be shot. What is weird is the cooled seats work on each side, and when I press the heated seat button for either side, the lights come on. I’ve checked every fuse imaginable and used a test lift to see if the elements are getting power, and they were not. What would make the elements not get power? A module or something? Any help would be appreciated as I can’t seem to find anything after my hours on forums. Pretty disappointed in a newer truck that is causing me issues like this.
First world problems...
spenpet posted a topic in 2014 - 2019 Silverado & SierraOk, so either I am a little slow (very possible!) or I am missing an important step...my '08 had the remote 'synced' to my truck...and it would recognize when I (my remote) unlocked the doors and my wife's...and it would adjust the seats to the person...when you use the remote start it would recognize the outside temp and if it were cold outside, it would turn on the seat heaters... When I first got my truck, I synced my remote so it does recognize me as 'Driver 2' and my wife as 'Driver 1'... Now, I went to my settings and worked through all the steps I found in the owners manual, my truck still recognizes me, but it will not automatically move my seats back to my position (if my wife drives my truck) and it won't turn the cooled or heated seats on... Again...I know this is first world problems and all...but I figure if I have the options I paid for, I want them to work... Any advise? or are there some key steps the owners manual left out that I need to go back and try?
Cooled Seats Not Working
Boycemil posted a topic in 2014-2018 Silverado & Sierra TroubleshootingThe seat cushions in my LTZ are not cooling. I have addressed it with the dealership on three separate occasions. The dealerships service personnel are now stating that the seats are working as designed. But they are not working at all. The seat backs cool slightly and the fans come on but no cooling on the bottoms and hardly none on the backs. I have even checked the cooling on other new models on the lot and those blow significant cool air up through the bottoms. Anyone have any suggestions on how to deal with the service department?
Perforated seat durability?
mikemilesco posted a topic in 2014 - 2019 Silverado & SierraIm looking at a truck with the perforated leather heated and cooled seats. I'm a carpenter and I live in an area that gets lots of snow so I'm worried that the perforated leather will not hold up as well as the regular leather seats. Anyone have perforated seats and abuse them?
