What do y'all think of the Nissan Titans? My buddy bought one (gas) a while backed and it looked...peculiar. Even though I'm not a fan of the grill design the truck drove pretty great with really nicely weighted steering. I don't know if I'll ever consider buying one but it seems to be alright (especially with the long warranty). Anyone here own this truck before or know someone who has? Wanted to see how this community feels about it, I rarely see any of em on the road and was suprised when my friend rolled up in one. We all had a little laugh (at his expense) and he said he mainly bought it because it was cheap for the trim he got (Platnium Reserve). Dealers seem to be getting rid of them with 15k off msrp! To be quite honest I never really knew that Nissan made trucks haha, the only import I knew of was the Tundra. Here's a photo for those who don't know what a Titan is

John Goreham Contributing Writer, GM-Trucks.com 9-8-2016 Every Nissan Titan has been made in Canton, Mississippi. This quick video by Nissan highlights the manufacturing and QA of the company's truck. The sprawling 4.7 million-square-foot plant has a staff of 6,400 working on its more than 1,000 acres. The Nissan Canton plant builds the Titan, Murano, Altima, Armada and Frontier and has produced over 3 million vehicles to date. The video shows what happens during the approximately 16 hours it takes to build a pickup truck.

John Goreham Contributing Writer, GM-Trucks.com 8-15-2016 Nissan announced this morning that for 2017, its Titan and Titan HD trucks will come with a 5-year, 100,000 mile BUMPER TO BUMPER warranty. We read the press release three times. This is not just a drivetrain warranty. Nissan is saying that for fully 5-years and 100K miles it will warranty its Titan and Titan HDs for all repairs. Nissan says that this makes it the company with the best truck warranty in America. This warranty also means that Nissan has just given customers and business owners that drive a Nissan pickup what amounts to a fixed cost of ownership for five years. At 79K miles the whole dash quits - free repair. Alternator at 99K miles - free repair. Headlights stop working at 72K - free repair. Wheel bearings at 66K - free repair. A Nissan truck owner will only pay for routine maintenance for 5 years or 100K miles. Clearly this warranty is most beneficial to owners who put a lot of miles on their truck. With most drivers putting 15K on a vehicle, and many business drivers up to 25K, the new Nissan warranty is ahead of the competition. To make the warranty perfectly clear, Nissan offered the following bullet points: - 5-year/100,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty beats competitors' standard protection programs by two years and 64,000 miles - Includes powertrain warranty – helping give Nissan full-size truck owners added trust and peace of mind - Covers all 2017 TITAN Endurance® V8 gas and 2017 TITAN XD Cummins® diesel and Endurance V8 gasoline-powered models - New limited warranty matches that of all models of Nissan Commercial Vehicles, including NV Cargo, NV Passenger and NV200

John Goreham Contributing Writer, GM-Trucks.com 8-16-2016 Nissan has released updated pricing for the new 2017 Titan line of pickups, but just the gas-powered models. The base model Titan Crew Cab S 4x2 will start at $35,975 including delivery, but not including dealer documentation fees. A fully-loaded Titan XD Platinum Reserve Crew Cab 4x4 could touch $60K. The 2017 Titan and Titan XD gasoline engine-equipped models will arrive at dealers this month (August). Pricing for Titan XD models equipped with the 310-horsepower Cummins 5.0L V8 Turbo Diesel will be announced this fall. Nissan will also be introducing a Single Cab Titan and more information will follow at a later date. The Titan is a traditional half-ton pickup. Nissan intends that its Titan XD, which is built on a separate chassis form the Titan, will be a lower-cost option for those looking for more than a half ton can offer, but who don't need a full heavy-duty pickup. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k8tKtYXztzY The video hits on a lot of emotional levels. It's a virtual tip of the hat to the the Big Three (most of whom have been producing pickup trucks since before Nissan was ever founded). It also is a sly way for Nissan to read a hand out to current Silverado, Sierra, F-150 and Ram owners. "It's ok, we're just like you!" What do you think of this video? How will it resonate with current Chevy, Ford, and Ram owners?

Zane Merva Executive Editor & Founder, GM-Trucks.com 1/12/16 Nissan is going full force promoting the all new Titan pickup. Yesterday the company released a 90-second video spot on YouTube that lets the world know it respects the pickup brands that have come before. In a weird way, it's almost as if Nissan is acknowledging the previous generation Titan was a sub-par effort and is pretending it never existed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k8tKtYXztzY The video hits on a lot of emotional levels.
