Not today, but last night I had my new front wheels and tires mounted for the V8 S10 that my dad and I are building together. Going to get them mounted on the truck this Saturday to finally get into full roller form!
That pricing is insane from the dealer. I would buy a new CAM, upgraded valve train, lifters, etc. and have a reputable local engine builder assemble it and get it back in the truck. You could do all of that for probably under $2k, maybe even get a warranty from the engine builder, and you would be good to go with minimal headache and money spent. Good luck!
I love a nice full size regular cab truck, here's to hoping that the Cheyenne will come to life one day. If not, I guess some forced induction and cosmetics will have to keep the regular cab guys happy
