  1. I'm just making a guess, but maybe the battery cable is bad. There were known problems with some of the battery cables. Possibly the manipulation of the cable during the battery replacement was enough to loosen the crimp connection on one end or the other of one of the cables. I would try wiggling the cables when you have the next incident to see if it makes a difference. Then replace the cable that seems bad. Like I said, I'm just guessing.
  2. There is a TSB for this. I had it done but it's still far too loud. Link to the TSB... http://sandyblogs.com/techlink/?p=5449
  3. I think a lot of complaints about the wipers are actually due to a contaminated windshield. I've found an excellent product for deep cleaning the glass (cleans the rubber on the wipers too). It's Bon Ami cleanser. You'd think it would scratch the glass but it doesn't. GM actually used to recommend it. Wet down the glass and sprinkle the Bon Ami pretty heavily and then scrub with a cloth. You'll feel the cleanser digging in. When you rinse it off you can see how the glass is sheeting off the water. If it doesn't sheet off it means you need to scrub some more. Then take the same cloth and scrub the rubber of the wipers. It's almost a miracle how well this works. The windshield and wipers are clean like new and work nice and smooth. Here is a picture of what to buy. Get the 1886 formula. I found mine at a mom & pop hardware store. Definitely don't use any other kind of abrasive cleanser - only Bon Ami.
  4. I'm only guessing but it might be due to the A/C operating. Pretty sure the truck will automatically turn on the A/C to defog the windows.
  5. I don't like the 10 way power driver's seat in my 2015. No matter how I adjust it I can't get it comfortable. Same as the OP the bottom rear center area is too softly sprung and the power mechanism doesn't provide a way to change the relationship between the rear of the base to the bottom of the backrest. I was able to get an old fashioned beaded seat cover and that improves the overall comfort except that the beaded cover is much too small for a full size pickup truck seat. I actually rode in the non-power passenger seat yesterday for the first time and it was almost perfect.
  6. I have the soot at the muffle drain weep hole too. I think it's normal. My truck isn't too bad - I really can't hear it when the windows are rolled up and the radio is on. I just put it in M5 when I'm driving around with the windows down. The truck doesn't use the V4-V8 system when in M5.
  7. I had the radio reprogramming done to my 2015 this week. You could hardly notice any difference. Sort of a waste of time. If I would have known the outcome I wouldn't have bothered. Especially since it's an avoidable annoyance in the sense that you don't hear it if you buckle up first.
  8. After reading the post above that mentioned how the squeak starts with a puff of exhaust out the muffler drain hole I tried a little experiment to plug up the drain hole. I wanted something that I could reverse and remove and wouldn't leave a trace in case I want to try and get a warranty fix. I took some stranded copper wire and after stripping off the insulation I stuffed about 3 individual strands up inside the drain hole. I sort of bent it in a way that it wouldn't fall out. It made a difference. It doesn't squeak during light throttle when the truck goes into V8 mode but I still hear a little squeak when the throttle tip in is more aggressive. So the jury is still out on this. I'm going to put some high temp silicone seal in the drain if the dealer balks at a warranty fix. I'm scheduled to go in for my first oil change in about a month so I'll update this thread with more info later.
  9. My reading comprehension isn't wonderful but the way I read the manual, it's saying the maximum temp is 50+-. My interpretation is that a temperature above that requires service, but it's not saying that 50 is the coldest the unit can deliver.
