  1. Bump. Lowered to $150 with free shipping.
  2. Used for only a few months. I installed some long tube headers and decided to go with a custom tune from local dyno shop. Asking $200.00 or best offer with free shipping.
  3. Maybe print out some "how to" instructions and sell them here on the forum. Do it one time then print them out as needed. I'd happily pay $50 or so for them.
  4. I had the airaid 200-285 on 2014 5.3L and liked the sound it gave. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that the filter housing relied on the hood to create a seal. I know it wasn't a very good seal either because the filter would get dirty in no time flat. On my current 2016 5.3L Sierra I have the Cold Air Inductions Intake and love it. The filter housing comes with a lid to actually seal off the air filter from the rest of the engine bay. I just cleaned and re-oiled the filter after 20K miles and it was not very dirty at all. Also, I think the sound it gives is a little more throatier than the Airaid 200-285. As for tunes, I always go with Blackbear Performance but that's just my preference. I've always had good experiences with them.
  5. GM recommends adding 2oz of PAG 46 oil to your AC system when replacing the condenser. GM doesn't give the specific weight of the oil you should use, but every place I called or looked up online said it was PAG 46. You can add it through the pressure gauges you rent from Auto store. This is the perfect time to add UV dye to your system. Get the PAG 46 oil with the UV dye in it.
  6. Every other GM truck I've had has run at 210. Plus this didn't start happening until I got coolant system flushed. Before then, it was running at 210 when warmed up. My truck will get to 210 if I'm driving very aggressively, but for the most part it stays around 190-195.
  7. I've ordered the thermostat but have not had time to switch it out yet. I've been keeping a close eye on coolant level and it has been normal this whole time. The engine temps haven't really been fluctuating, it just stays below 210 all the time. Hovers around 190 for the most part. I'm going to dealership to get recall work done on Friday, so I might have them do a pressure test to make sure there's not a small leak or crack I'm missing. I read on a Corvette forum from a guy that had a situation like mine and it turned out to be a hairline crack on radiator just before the water pump that was sucking in air causing low engine temps. His coolant level also showed normal. Anyone have some tips on how to burp the coolant system? Maybe the shop that flushed my system left some air in there?
  8. I have 117k miles on my truck, so I seriously doubt the dealer will work with me, even if I show him the TSB. I guess it's worth a shot. The weird thing is that this all started right after I got the system flushed. I noticed it when driving it home from the shop. I know for a fact that it didn't do this before the flush. I always glance at my gauges while driving (something my dad drilled in my head when I was younger). I'll definitely check for leaks when I get though.
  9. No, fluid level has been normal.
  10. Dan, where about on radiator are the cracks happening? I've yet to smell any coolant, but I'll take a look and see if I see anything.
  11. You know Mike, when defrost and heater are on, the temp fluctuates like crazy. Warm to cool to warm and so on. Even when I want to blow a little warmer air through front facing vents, it fluctuates. I'm constantly having to adjust it. Sometimes it's a crazy fluctuation and sometimes is a minor one. Can't believe I left this out in my original post.
  12. Thanks for all the suggestions guys. The temp worried me because the past 4 GM trucks I've owned have all run dead center @ 210 for engine temp. And I swear I've read somewhere in these forums that these engines perform best when running at 210. For some reason I've always had bad luck with water pumps on all my trucks, so I might just go ahead and switch out water pump with thermostat and if problem stays the same then I can live with it. If it goes back to "normal" then I'll know something was up.
  13. So I had my radiator flushed almost a month ago and noticed my engine temp consistently running low, between the 210 mark and the mark right before it. Well today it was hovering around the mark before the 210 mark and sometimes even lower. Just wanted to ask you guys if there's anything else I need to be looking at besides the thermostat? Also, truck has 117k miles on it, so would replacing entire water pump with thermostat be a better option then just replacing the thermostat?
  14. Yes, I am running a catch can. Have had it since 37k miles. I did however have blackbear disable AFM with my tune.
  15. Definitely over 100k. Closing in on 114k now. I got it tuned back in September. I've also had my fair share of issues with my truck. At 105k the condenser sprung a leak at that same weld everyone else has had leak. Then just last month, my AC compressor went out and blew a quarter size hole out the side of it. So not only did I replace the AC compressor, but I had to change out the condenser again to make sure there was no shrapnel in the system. Other than the AC issues, the truck has been solid. Changed spark plugs and wires at 100k. Front and rear diffs had fluid changed and now I'm just waiting for my brakes to make one squeak and then I'm putting on powerstop z36 rotors and brakes for the front and back. I have them sitting in a box in my garage.
  16. That's the same bottle Pace Performance has on their website, but in the description it states PAG 46. When I changed out my condenser the other weekend, I put 2oz of PAG 46 w/UV Dye and haven't had any issues as of yet.
  17. like the others said, probably the condenser. I replaced my condenser this past Saturday.
  18. Can someone confirm that the PAG oil is 46 viscosity? Called service department and they had no idea. They said the bottle doesn't say what viscosity it is, only that it's universal. Pace performance has the GM part # and in description it states PAG 46. So that's a little reassuring.
  19. Add me to the list. 97k miles and A/C started struggling to blow cold air. I checked condenser and sure enough, leaking from the same spot as everyone else. I'm not even going to attempt to ask dealer with 97k miles. I'll be changing it out myself this weekend.
  20. Where did you get the tune Silvy?
  21. I'm so annoyed by noises in my truck, my wife always refuses to answer me when I mute the radio and ask her "do you hear that?" . I'm really glad GM got rid of the doors that went all the way to the roof line. I don't know how many times I greased the weather stripping on that 08 Sierra to make the squeaks and rattles stop!
  22. Well, I'm officially an idiot. So after buying a borescope that connects to my phone via USB and taking all the vents off and searching in the ducts, it turns out there was no coin in any of the them. I had my daughter and wife take turns sitting in the middle seat and listen while I shook the truck side to side. After a few turns listening, their opinion of where the sound was coming from changed to up above. So I decided to take the panel off the top console not expecting to find anything. Instead, I found a loose screw rolling around. I felt like such a fool lol. I could've swore my daughter put a coin in there because at that same time I had stopped her from dropping a candy wrapper down there. Plus, she was playing with some loose change I had in the console. So I owed her a big apology with an ice cream lol. Sorry if I left some of you in suspense for how I got the coin out lol.
  23. I'll be tackling this this weekend, so I'll keep you guys posted on my results.
