  1. Daryl, get the 2006 OEM 17's!
  2. Are your cats bad? For those internet monies I would choose a tune! I would love to tune for 91+ and smooth out the tranny.
  3. I took advantage of my parents driveway today and washed out the bed, wheel wells, and engine bay. And with my luck I ruined the cloth hood liner while trying to clean it, the fuel from the other day made it look horrible but I should have left it how it was.
  4. Is there a particular reason for the powerstop calipers? Maybe a refresh of the lines, fluid, and OEM calipers would be more beneficial.
  5. So those mirrors have a defroster??
  6. Are they just whiter or actually provide increased visibility at night?
  7. Sometimes I feel like driving her into a ditch...
  8. Here's what the POS looks like:
  9. Yes but this is potentially a safety risk with the fuel leaking directly onto the headers and other hot parts, along with the general mess that it makes. It's pretty aggravating.
  10. I finally drove her since last Wednesday and as a gift she had two pretty bad fuel leaks from the fuel pressure regulator. The first was when I first started her this morning which I was slow to notice so a ton of fuel was lost. I then began to drive out of the complex and she was leaking again! After that I managed to make it to work but I think I'm going to buy a new FPR since this one might be bad, or at least the O ring is. I can't imagine why GM thought that this FPR design was logically sound.
  11. 91 octane is at $2.09 in this part of town (costco) but in Tempe it was at $2.5x! I just filled up before the price goes up more. In the upcoming month or so I am expecting to buy new tires, and something that I'm not looking forward to at all is the rebuild of the driver's side door hinges to get rid of the sagging. Ive been putting that off for far too long.
  12. Have you already tried looking up each color in Google? And I have always liked the graphite interior, my dad's has it and it just ages so much better. Grey/pewter doesn't look good new or old imo.
  13. I cleaned the interiors of the truck and car since it has been too windy lately to do a complete wash. And I will be replacing the cabin filter on the versa asap since it's already ripped and pretty dirty. The truck's will also be inspected soon since the ac is being used more and more now.
  14. So thats what you keep in that gigantic tool box! XD Although that light is a great idea.
  15. Oil change at 237,150 miles. AC Delco PF46E Castrol GTX Magnatec 5W-30 A sample will be sent in to Blackstone.
  16. How did you like the continental lx20's?? I will need new tires this spring and so far they look like candidates. Most of my use will be on road with dirt trails and light snow thrown in once every blue moon. The reviews i have read have been very positive. IIRC the 265/70/17 come in at about $137.
  17. I filled up with 21.5 gallons of 91 this morning and added the full bottle of Lucas fuel treatment that I recently won.
  18. Do your best to clean as deep as possible with whatever you're using. I used a moist towel with a bit of bleach, and I think I also changed out the filters around the same time. As for the vents themselves I soaked them in water with dish soap and gave them a good cleaning. I just cleaned the interior last weekend but it was standard stuff. My goal for March is to replace the cracked windshield and maybe even tint the driver and passenger side windows (match the test of the oem tint).
  19. Good idea on replacing the door panel! Are you currently missing any of the hardware or clips? I think I'm missing at least one screw on each side. lol
  20. Does a rwd truck skip the pitman and idler arm parts?
  21. It was long overdue but I finally wired up the replacement for the melted left side license plate light socket. I had bought cheap phillips bulbs that were really yellow but a new neighbor who happens to have an aftermarket lighting business gave me 3 led bulbs, props to him! The right side bulb was burnt out but now both sides light up perfectly for the first time in who knows how many years. He then offered me a low and high beam HID setup (bulbs, ballasts, etc) for $99, although from my basic knowledge I'm hesitant to put that into the stock halogen housing. Thoughts?
  22. What does that consist of? Will you diy? That's my goal for the truck as well, but while I'm doing that I should also do the power steering.... the list could be infinite.
  23. We've changed the oil pressure sensor twice on my dad's '06 4.8 and nothing needs to be removed at all, most definitely not the intake manifold. We don't have small hands by any means but all you need is patience and a good mental image of what that area looks like. The second sensor went bad on the way home while still hours away, but since the engine didn't blow up he just drove it home! lol
