  1. I would like to also check out app based monitors so I can just use directly from my phone, a friend used to have one on Lexus IS300 and it was pretty cool. I don't really tow but it would be nice to view transmission temps and stuff like that.
  2. Which monitor do you have? Is it plug and play into the obd port?
  3. Yesterday marked one year since my truck got hit by a piece of metal that someone drove over. It left a dent and scratch right below the left rear window. I still haven't fixed it and feel guilty every time i see it... If it wasn't my fault and completely unavoidable could i have gotten it covered by the insurance without having to pay the deductible? Other than that I haven't driven her since Saturday and hopefully won't until Wednesday or Thursday!
  4. Please update your journal...
  5. The pic says "2010 Production"... caveat emptor.
  6. I don't know what brand rotors I have up front but the rears are Centric, paired with AC Delco Ceramic durastop pads all around. Awesome performance and practically zero brake dust, I could go a month without cleaning and the wheels are hardly dirty. And I never have any noise at all either. Here's a random pic from last Saturday before it rained: [emoji7]
  7. My truck has been parked (covered..) at the hospital as of Wednesday afternoon since our second son was just born. Hopefully both will go home on Saturday! #lowmileagelyfe #twocarseats
  8. 50-60 psi!? What tire are you running?
  9. I had to drive the truck to work today and I don't know if it was the near freezing temperature or the 89 octane Shell but there was so much knock, maybe almost for a minute before it settled. Usually there's little to none even in similar temps. And it was the first cold startup on this tank of 89...
  10. From where the coolant seems to be coming from it will either be the weep hole or the gasket. I'll be addressing it later rather than sooner, right now it's a small quantity and I'm just topping off once a month or so. And from what I've been reading lately I think I'm going to go to a 60/40 mixture of water and coolant.
  11. Definitely no woods but plenty of snowbirds and soccer moms instagramming while driving!
  12. I just hand washed the wheels, tires, and wheel wells in preparation for taking her for a full wash. She hasn't been washed in over a month but with great weather I don't have any more excuses. And this is what 3 out of 4 latitude tours look like after about 48k miles : Still great in dry pavement and even rain, but definitely no more snow! lol
  13. Miles: 235,846 Completed today: Fram Toughguard air filter TGA8755A New radio tune button Right rear exterior door handle Topped off engine oil - Castrol 5w-30 Upcoming: New right side license plate light wiring + both bulbs Oil is at about 3k miles but it has been in use since July. I think I'll go to 4k miles on it...
  14. My truck hasn't been driven since last Wednesday and probably won't be driven again until maybe the end of the year. We'll be going out of town with the car for Christmas and we were just in Dallas this past weekend (flew). Although a few parts just came in for her so I'll get that done whenever I'm back.
  15. They're resealing the pavement in our complex so they opened up some garages for us to park in the meantime so my truck will be sleeping indoors from here until maybe Saturday. She barely fits lengthwise with about an inch to spare up front! And with the freezing temperatures we've been having this week it's perfect timing. And arriving soon will be a radio button, license plate light wiring, and the right rear door handle.
  16. Carpet is out next right?
  17. It's basically a plastic barrier that prevents humidity from entering the cabin but also blocks noise. I think that your front doors already have it but I'm not entirely sure.
  18. Good progress as usual! Is the sound deadening also being applied to the inside of the door panels? How about a vapor barrier?
  19. I averaged 13.7 mpg with the last 21 gallons of 89 octane, not bad! This has been a majority of street with some highway thrown in. And I filled back up with 91 today since I feel that she starts up better with it. And she hit 235,000 a few days ago.
  20. I took her out for a drive last night after my run, I really enjoy it when she's this clean inside and out!
  21. She was finally washed and cleaned after weeks of random rain. And I'm still liking the meguirs plastic and rubber treatment, so far it's a million times better than the old "horse piss"! I also cleaned out mud from the wheel wells, inside of the bed fore and aft of the tires, and rear bumper. Imagine if they had invented wheel well liners back in 2000...
  22. I did some crazy off roading last weekend... on the shoulder of a road.
  23. Are you also adding sound deadening to the doors?
  24. It looks like I have a coolant leak from what I believe may be the water pump. I noticed some drops coming off of the skid plate on Saturday but then they went away after a few drives. I'll check later today to see if it's come back. Thoughts? Weep hole?
  25. The truck and car were cleaned/vacuumed and also washed. I also tried the meguirs plastic treatment, so far I like it for the $7 it's worth. I also topped off the trucks engine oil. Pretty good Sunday so far!
