    When he mentioned the whole balancing thing I knew he was bs. In the end, although he explained more than anyone else has before him. It didn't matter because I had already ordered my new truck and this one is a goner ! Tundra TRD PRO can't wait till it gets here!!

    First of all, not " my mechanic ". Second of all, if you read what I wrote, you will realize I said he never diagnosed my vibration that we are all having.

    So according to the dealer I recently went to, who may I add has a " GM World Tech " as their manager. A lot of the issues are normal. He explained that the vibration at a stand still ( red light, stop or idle) are caused by the new engine. It has no over head cams, it's a old style push rod motor with no balancer. All this to create a fuel efficient motor. However, he did say a new motor is to come out soon, not sure when. The trans that feel like a double shift is also normal. It's caused by the " torque converter locking up for more power". Apparently the older models did this only on third or fourth gear. Now it starts from second and goes all the way to sixth. He did diagnose my vibration that we are all having cause I have aftermarket wheels and a lift.

    They deff. Are different. I'm taking my trade and leaving GM for good. Never in my life have I had such horrible Service with a new truck. I had better service from joe shmo the mechanic

    Yes, it is. I completely messed up and switched the numbers from the front to the back.

    I live in south jersey and as a fellow neighbor in state, I highley recomend you getting a trade in or buy back. I can honestly tell you that if you really feel vibrations, you will not get a fix from GM. Iv hine countless times to The dealer and spoke and opened countless complaints against GM and nothing happened. Due to my high travels for work, iv gone past the miles needed to file lemon. I now have to Trade the truck I'm for something else. Ived tried everything... New wheels, ( worked for a little) new suspension, put about 1500lbs in the bed everyte me I go to work and it makes it worst!! Between my personal expirience and 202 pages with no answer on here. This is why I say, get it traded in or bough back ASAP. GM will not help Or will they fix it. Good luck!

    For those of you that get the its normal response from the dealer, ask them to prove it with another new truck in their lot. When they realize it doesn't vibrate, your already winning! Right there, I would ask for a local representative from GM because you want a buy back. Point is, IF YOU HAVE VIBRATIONS, GET IT BOUGHT BACK ASAP!! There is no fix for this at all!

    I understand where you guys are coming from and to this day it doesn't make sense to me either, but that's what I got and it leveled my truck.

    Mine was fixed, all I did was buy great new tires and some of the best wheels on the market. Rides smooth as glass at any speed. Even On 40series low profile tires

    I had all the vibration issues, especially at high speeds. Lindsay Chevrolet in Woodbridge,Va. I'm down here doing a job and just happened to stop by.

    Well I'm glad to say my vibration has went away! After buying new wheels and tires and getting them road force balanced at high speeds, my trucks rides sooo smooth I still can't beilve it. I guess for me it was new tires and new wheels and a guy at a virginia dealership who new how to balance wheels!

    I find funny how Chevys videos of the truck on their website before it came out described how this was the most comfortable truck out there. How they did so much to reduce vibration. Hmmm, I would like those engineers to get in my truck and tell me that that video is still correct.

    I agree, this is what I have been telling them. How is it when I have the pedal to the floor and it's in full V8 mode it still vibrates?

    Here is a link to a you tube video that I found. This is the exact vibration that I am having. I still do t think it's the V4-V8 switch that's causing This. If link doesn't work just go on YouTube and type in 2014 silverado vibration and click on the video with the guy showing you the vibration on his redbull can.

    That's all normal, I took it into my hands to call the lady who was helping me do the buy back and then call the dealership to make sure they were doing their job too. In my case I gave my dealer all zeros on a survey. Due to the reason every time I asked about anything their response was " I'm working for free on this so it's gonna take a while!" .... Ok, when you get your survey don't come attacking me then.

    The adaptive valve is right behind the muffler and yes an aftermarket would eliminate the dumb @$$ valve. Truck sounds better as well with it open Thank you very much, I will let you know how it goes.

    My truck was built 03/14 and had vibration and squeaky between v4/v8. It also sounded like a turbo with as much as it whistled. No update IMO & its just crap their feeding us. I clamped mine and solved my problem myself. Ok quick question, well two. One, where can I find this flap exactly some can do it and two would a aftermarket exhaust work better/ take care of the problem?
