  1. Got this today and have my appointment scheduled... GM Program #: N192265660 Date Issued: Jan 07, 2020 Program Title: Rear Window Defroster Thermal Events - US Only - Exp. 1/31/2022 Program Description: Certain 2014-2019 model year Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra vehicles equipped with a power sliding rear window (RPO A48) may have areas of high electrical resistance on the rear defroster circuit. This could be caused, in part, by mechanical stress from opening and closing the rear power window, intrusion of debris, and use of the rear defroster. Over time, this condition could generate heat that could melt the areas surrounding the circuit. In rare instances, this heat could cause a non-propagating fire, increasing the risk of property damage or injury. Repair Description: Dealers will replace the buss bar covers and contact cover. If the rear window or sliding glass assembly appears damaged due to an occurrence of high electrical resistance on the rear defroster circuit, they should also be replaced.
  2. Not on with DRL. You wouldn't see it anyway during the day even if it was.
  3. My guess is that there are far more 5.3's so that's why you would see more?
  4. Got mine through social media 2 months ago, so they were at least doing it as of then. Still worth a shot.
  5. Yeah I guess I should pay attention to which forum I'm in. It's still early ?
  6. I really need to start keeping a close eye on mine. I have a 2/2018 build date and haven't noticed anything obvious so far, but it's usually in a ramp or garage during rain and rarely in the rain. I'll start really checking the back after getting it washed then I guess.
  7. They're about 2 weeks out as stated. I ordered on the 29th, and they shipped yesterday exactly 2 weeks later.
  8. I had the same experience yesterday. About 4 hours after I sent the request, I had the build sheet in my email.
  9. I agree, but just telling you my experience.
  10. It's habit. The couple of times I've gotten rentals or loaners with keyless ignition I've had to make a point to remember turning them off. I've never forgotten to turn off one with a key, but that's all I've used for 30+ years. I'm sure if I had a keyless ignition all the time I would quickly get used to shutting it off.
  11. @scdaren My numbers agree with yours as far as interest paid over 6 months between the 2 rates to a tee. Not sure where the other numbers are coming from...
  12. My truck came with this installed. While I wouldn't have gone out of my way to add it myself, I have to say it looks pretty slick.
  13. Got rebate for financing with GM and refinanced. No loss of bonus cash... So unless you have a contract that explicitly states this, I have had the same experience as others on here that it is just the dealership blowing smoke up you know where.
  14. Anyone have any updates to this for one that fits the 2018 at the proper angle (i.e. upright) without modification?
  15. Just refinanced mine after making only 1 payment. I would have done it sooner, but needed the title before refinancing. The day the title came in the mail I finalized the refinance. I was also told to wait 3-4 payments by the dealership so they don't lose whatever incentive, but with the crazy 7.24% GM rate that's not my problem. I got a 2.74% rate through my credit union and don't feel bad in the slightest ditching the GM loan. I have near perfect credit and it's ridiculous the rates GM has just to get the incentive. Cut 2 more years off of the term, and plan to pay it off 2 years early so all good in my book.
