  1. I've drive 4 different Denali XLs...all 4 wheel drive. Three of them had 22" tires & one had 20". All 4 of them had the buffeting & booming issue. Apparently, the size of the tires doesn't have any impact on the issue. The one with 20" tires was one I had special ordered but didn't take it because of the problem. I'm thinking about getting a Mercedez 450 GL instead.
  2. I ordered a '16 Yukon XL Denali 4WD with the understanding that I would buy it if I wanted or let them sell it to another customer if I didn't. I came in this week & I could tell before I got off the lot for a test drive that it had the buffeting issue. I've driven 2 different 4WD Denali XLs & all three of them had the issue. However, the 2016 was worse than the others. I really wish there was another vehicle that compares to it size wise. I've had several Suburbans & really want to get into another large SUV but can't deal with paying almost $80K to have a problem truck!
  3. AW22, I bet lots of folks here (me included) would really like a test of MPG with & without the range unit on your trip. I have a 6.2 as well & would love to know what real world effect the Range unit will have on gas mileage.
  4. I've had my Denali for 2 weeks now & have the poor reception issue. I listen to lots of AM radio & it's really terrible. I haven't noticed any problems with XM stations. GM needs to get this corrected ASAP. I've bought 11 GM vehicles since 2000 & never had this problem with any of them until now.
  5. I think it will be cleaner looking wiring it into the overhead console & plan to go that way. I ordered an Invisicord which should be here this week & am going to wait until I have it to use in case there is a junction box I can just plug in to.
  6. Great! Thanks for the info.
  7. I had planned on hooking up my Valentine One using an Invisicord as I have on lots of past vehicles. It just connects to the plug on the rear of the auto dimming mirror. But, my Denali has the Lane Departure Warning option & there is a box in front of the mirror that houses the cameras it uses. There is no plug to tap into. Has anyone done this hard wire hookup on a truck with the Lane Departure Warning? If so, does it work the same way?
  8. I got my truck detailed today because the dealer left it a complete mess inside & out. I really didn't notice the outside because the weather was lousy but found out that it had several spots that looked like heavy weight oil. It came off with no problem but I didn't really plan on getting into this at only 4 days of owning it! I also have put my WeatherTechs in & ordered a "hammock" for my dogs to ride on the back seat. Du-ha storage unit should be here soon too.
  9. I just ordered one of these from Pop & Lock. They have a 10% discount code on the website that's good through the end of January.
  10. Will the Fold a Cover G4 Elite work ok with a spray in bed liner?
  11. I don't really want to go the aftermarket programmer way either. I choose the AT tires when the order was placed & think it will come with Goodyears which I'm not crazy about. My dealer has already said he'll swap them or give me credit toward a new set. If he has a truck on the lot with Bridgestone Dueler AT tires in the stock size, I'll probably just ask him to swap those out. I've had great results with them before.
  12. No I haven't asked because I don't have the truck yet. I recall having it done on a Duramax 2500 several years ago but they only had a limited choice of sizes built into the programmer. I don't want to go really large but maybe up a notch or two.
  13. I searched in the Wheels, Tires, & TPMS section but didn't find the info I need. My truck will come with 275/55R/20 on Crew Cab GMC. I selected the All Terrain option but I suspect they'll really be street tires. My dealer will give me credit for the tires that come on it & I need to select what I got get for the exchange . I'd like to put a great looking tire that's maybe slightly larger & better looking. The questions is: can the dealer reflash the computer to reflect correct speedometer readings & change the transmission shift point accordingly? A related question is that I only need something that will occasionally be in mud here in the Southeast. But, I still want a tire that will be quiet & a good rain tire. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
