  1. I don’t think that’s the right one. I would contact white auto and media before ordering.
  2. I can’t answer that but he’s good at responding to emails. The GMC’s changed to blue in 2017 so mine matches regardless.

  4. Nope..He said he can do it on any configuration. Just need the same year dash as the one in your truck. Again, if you email him with your VIN he will give you the part number to search for.
  5. Simple install. Literally took 10 minutes. The dash hood piece over the cluster pops off, has those little spring clips. Then 3, 7mm screws hold on the front outer plastic followed by 4, 7mm screws holding the actual cluster. Unplug the old one and plug in the new one and re-assemble. I went through all the options and everything works just like it should.
  6. I would think so..My part # was 84201628. I don’t know if the High Country vs. LTZ would make a difference (highly doubt there is any difference). If you decide to do this I would email them to make sure before spending the money.
  7. Yes..Works exactly as stock, no issues at all. I believe programming costs can vary based on options or if the cluster is new or used. Mine was new and cost $249.00 to program. I found the cluster on Ebay for $150.00 as it had a small scratch in the lens. I replaced the lens with a new lens for $129.00. If you email White Auto with your VIN they will give you the part number for the dash that will work in your truck.
  8. Just got it back and installed in about 10 minutes. Thanks to White Auto & Media...works perfect.
  9. LOL...I needed that!
  10. I don't know but highly doubt there will be or is a kit.
  11. Maybe "easier" was the wrong term. As an iPhone user the pad is useless in my opinion. My iPhone has maybe not "flown" around but has come off and fallen in between the seat and console.
  12. Even if it worked is it really a great benefit? I use Apple CarPlay which requires the USB which charges the phone too. Even with out Carplay it seems easier to set the phone in the front tray and use a small 3"USB and just plug it in. Doesn't fly around the truck that way when you take off too quick or need to hit the brakes hard. Not to mention having to use a clunky charger case.
  13. One of my previous trucks..Brownstone was a great color.
  14. Do you think the I/P harness would take care of all the wiring needs? $321.00 through gmpartsdirect.
  15. cmatt- Where did you source the cable from? The dealer?
  16. I stopped and looked closely at a Tahoe dash and compared to my Sierra. I'm pretty certain the dash visor from the Tahoe will not work on the pickups. The pickup visor fits in a well defined recessed groove where as the suv extends beyond where the pickup visor sits. The suv's have no defined recessed groove so if we tried to put the suv visor on our pickups it would definitely not fit or look right imo..Good news is I have a feeling the SUV Defroster grille for the HUD model has a good chance of working, so we wouldn't even need the visor. Does anyone have a hud model SUV you could pop the visor off so we can get a good look at the defroster grille?
  17. How much was the I/P harness for the hud SUV's?
  18. I vote we make stereojnky the guinea pig . Seriously though if someone has a way to look up the part number for the wire harness to the switch and hud unit I'd be in for giving it a try..
  19. Good pics. Lot's of obstacles to make this happen on the trucks...the biggest might end up being the wiring to the switch and HUD unit itself. I'm starting to feel more like the visor and defroster panel might work. One of us will just need to go for it..
  20. That's only if the the truck defroster panel and SUV defroster panel are interchangeable..as well as the cluster visor panels. It'd be great if they were...So ideally if putting hud in a truck you'd need to order the defroster panel and cluster visor from an SUV and hope they work.
  21. That's very helpful thanks..Does the dash pad to the defrost panel 'step down' at all. On the trucks the visor stops short of the actual dash then steps down to the defroster grille. I'm afraid it would make for a very tough retrofit...to look right anyway. The switch looks to be an easier mod. To clarify..The crash avoidance in the trucks is actually in the defroster grill, not the dash visor as is the case in the SUV's.
  22. I agree..it appears the defroster panel has nothing to do with the hud system. There are separate part #'s for the defroster showing w and w/o crash avoidance. Same goes for the visor. So hopefully there will be room to mount the hud module. There is a chance the cluster visor from the SUV's would fit but would need to take a chance on ordering one or study it closely. I personally could never cut the existing visor to have it look 'right'. Then there is the wiring and switch problem to figure out.
  23. So the cluster visor part# in cocoa for the Tahoe is 23181840 which indicates it is for the hud. The non hud visor for the Tahoe in cocoa is 23181849, completely different number for the Sierra denali in the same color with no option for an hud version. This tells me it will not work in the trucks unless I'm missing something or they use two completely different part numbers for the same part on different vehicles.
  24. Either that or possibly the cluster visor is interchangeable.
