  1. Any dealer I hear that has done it has just bought an aftermarket recalibrator tool and done it
  2. I love the tread life on them. So far I have 22K on them and by how much tread is left I feel I can get 20-25k more miles out of them. I didn't expect to get that good of life out of a M/T tire but so far I'm very pleased with my purchase
  3. Ive only done slight things like redid the tail lights and removed the vent visors and uploaded a new tune and then used her to pick up my new mower but thats it.....
  4. I always do when I can but heres times when I can't like those damn slanted one way parking lots or when theres a car on my ass wanting to take the spot I want and if i pull up far enough to back in the try and turn in to take it.
  5. I definitely need this with my lifted silverado. When I park in parking spaces it feels like I am about to drive over them then get out and theres four feet of room between me and the other car lol
  6. As to life of the parts I'm unsure of since well who has a lifted or stock truck with a whole lot of miles. I plan that my suspension parts with have shorter life than if I left it stock but thats because of the bigger tires and that associated weight so time will tell. if you don't wanna go 7" do the 2.5" level then 1.5" body lift to give you 4" and squeeze some 35s and go that route
  7. When it comes to the ride I like it. Remember though its gonna be stiffer than from the factory as soon as you add Load E mud tires on it whether lifted or stock but the only thing besides that is the rearend is stiffer due to the antiwrap blocks which is another reason I liked this kit so its worth the trade off. Ive spun my 35s and burned out a few times with no problem there. As far as the replacement parts go I was talking about maintenance ease in terms of owning a vehicle longer than 2 or 3 years and how easy it would be to source parts than say if a strut goes out on whatever other kit that uses their own parts that they may or may not make anymore or their replacement part price is ridiculous versus that of stock parts.
  8. I know some have heard negative about Rough Country and too you got to look at who installed their lift too and that can give you some insight as to why there may be some problems. Im running the 7" and have 20K miles on it so far and not a problem. I specifically wanted the Rough Country lift out of the others because I was looking at longevity, whether you agree with me or not its a matter of opinion. Heres why. The Rough Country lift is mainly drop down brackets and spacer parts and keeps basically all the same suspension pieces like UCAs, LCAs, Leaf Packs, and struts. Coming from the Xterra I was in and the aftermarket community there I seen so many times you have a aftermarket piece and when it goes bad you are at the mercy of the aftermarket manufacturer as to what they price it at or in a real hurt when they discontinue it and now trying to find new solutions. I chose Rough Country cause if my UCA bust, or my struts go bad, or any other suspension part for that matter i can replace it with stock GM parts as if it were stock height and I hope my parts would be cheaper as they are the same parts that they mass produce for the hundreds of thousands of the other trucks on the road. Didn't mean to take up a lot of space but just figured I give my opinion why I chose Rough Country since I plan to keep my truck for atleast 100K miles if not more although I really want a new z71 Tahoe hehe
  9. Those of y'all with the PNP AMP steps......Especially in the areas that get snow and ice.....How are they holding up? Functionality wise in those weather conditions. I have N-Fabs on my truck right now and on the normal days my size 14 foot doesn't like the steps that well and this winter with snow and ice accumulations on them really didn't like them so I've been considering saving and spending the whopping $1200 for the AMP steps since my feet would like them a lot more and I don't like steps that hang low
  10. Cost $12 lol did the same thing for my grille and headlight to color match lol and I used 60 grit to really dig in
  11. Sanded the chrome really good. Self etching primer. Rustoleum silver metallic (matches perfectly). then Rustoleum clear enamel
  12. Yeah I'm running 18x10 on 35x12.50
  13. Depends on the offset you are using to be honest. Ive seen 37s on the rough country lift but one guy is running -76 offset and he rubs so bad its not even funny. Maybe 7" RCX and the 1.5" body lift
  14. Haha haven't had a flip phone since 2007 hahaha I really just chose a bad time to take the pics. That was at 1am plus I live in the country so no street likes or anything.
  15. Just drove her around in the snow and ice we've had here
  16. I know a guy running 37s on just the rough country lift with -76 offset or something like that but he rubs like crazy so i say its do able on stock wheels or with the added 1.25" body lift. Also a lot who run 37s run the McGaughys 7-9" lift and clear up the 38s
  17. So far have just drove her. Too cold to do anything here really. Plans for the year so far are bedline the bed, color match the bumpers, new grille, and hopefully the 2015 tow mirrors
  18. Im running the RCX 7" on 18x10 with -24 offset on 35s and clears
  19. I know this may sound funny but has anyone with their lifted truck after a while feel like its tiny or doesn't look lifted? Ive had mine for a bit now and to me it feels like a stock truck and doesn't seem all that high to me lol maybe its cause I'm 6'3" idk
  20. I got it from a wholesaler on eBay for $950 and I had a 4x4 shop put it on (thats the only way the dealership would still let me have my warranty if professionally done) and that cost me $650 but i sold my stock wheels for $700 so i don't consider it an expense really
  21. My 7" RCX lift keeps everything the same
