  1. I have had GMPP's on my last two trucks and both were easily paid for by fixes well past the 3/36. Most times 2 major breaks will consume the 2 grand or so they cost to run them to 7-8 years and 70-80k of coverage. Any other aftermarket warranties i agree on there more bad then good part, gmpp's though are a different animal imo and are well worth the higher price, because there is in all my experiences no issues when something actually needs to be replaced.
  2. Crazy, these trucks wouldn't sell 5 years ago until you put 10 or as much as 16k on the hoods, anyone buying right now regardless of what deal you got are getting ripped off imo.
  3. With the infotainment systems these things come with now along with amped speakers and subs, i have had 0 need for any aftermarket radio equipment. I'm also older now and bolt loosening bass is no longer a priority to me, and to be honest most of the aftermarket stuff is no better then what comes stock in these vehicles now imo.
  4. How could they help here, customer buys said product, customer installs said product. Then 6 months later NY state legislative decides to ban the product, it is not on Borla to make it right. This is where the term elections have consequences comes from! Elect stupid people and win stupid regulations, restrictions and laws. Imo the state clearly wants everything stock, if you do anything other than stock you are taking a chance imo.
  5. Why would Borla help, they sold you a product you wanted. It is not Borla's fault that NY is full of idiots who elect morons to represent the state, that then pass idiotic laws such as this one!
  6. My truck has whined since new almost 8 years now, i have brought it to my dealer at least 20 times for it and every time they play dumb and tell me they can't hear it or say it's normal. I ve tried other dealer and have had the same response. I know for a fact it is not normal and imo it is the torque converter but i have had no luck getting GM to play ball with it. Good luck to you and hope you get a better tech than myself, lucky it hasn't led to any issues but i also only have 50,000 miles on it.
  7. It's not a matter of it will leak but when. They have been using lines that leak for decades now, what's new is some of them blowing out completely and causing the engine to be damaged.
  8. Whatever you do "DO NOT BUY AFTERMARKET ROTORS" as 99.9% of them suck and will warp far easier then OEM ones in my opinion. One of the few OEM parts that you are better off sticking with imo.
  9. I hand clean mine and while it is not perfect it is not a filthy either. Anyone who uses a hose to wash down their engine compartment is chancing it imo, from the alternator to the coil packs and all the electrical connections just far too much to worry about imo getting wet.
  10. Lol i sing that toon every week when i go grocery shopping or fill up my gas tank, oh well not like any of this is a shock to anyone with common sense, as i knew what America was in store for after these last elections. 12k msrp increase and 0 incentives or cash on hood needed to move them because of limiting availability. The chip shortage or whatever it is you want to call it has been great for gm imo. Shut plants down, keep product availability low, and demand & prices up... I wonder if the auto unions have figured it out yet that this is going to be the normal regardless of chip availability in the future imo.
  11. Lot of "Let's Go, Brandon" chants all over the country right now and rightfully so!
  12. That is only like a hundred or 2 hundred less then amp steps, why not go with those?
  13. I would fight for both sides to be replaced, I have seen several people on here have to go through this twice because their dealers followed what is in my opinion the incorrect procedure for fixing this issue. All lifters and push rods should be fixed, your chances for this happening to the other side is rather good.
  14. That rotor is straight trashed imo. Do we have any mechanics here who could possible state a reason how that would ever be considered normal wear? That is pretty well grooved and clearly either a caliper that is sticking or the pad was contaminated somehow. That should be a easy call imo, new rotor and pads and caliper if ti is not working as intended.
  15. They owe you if you are without transportation because of a warranty issue. Below is pulled from GMC's website.
  16. I hate spiders.... One has been making a web connecting my garage to my truck every morning, i got to say the spider is one dedicated mother trucker!!!
  17. I think it was a timer setting and not the engine hours.
  18. If you are still within the 3/35 oem warranty your should be good. If you are outside of it generally having a dealer cover any paint work is an uphill battle, it is readily excluded from most extended warranties too. Not trying to be an ass here but judging by this picture your paint work looks to be in not so good of shape and i'm not talking about the missing paint areas. Do you hand wash and wax your truck often because i see a roof that has literally no protection on it imo, look like it has been chemical blasted by several auto car washes to me. Those places are destructive to today's paints imo with how soft, brittle and thin they are. I would say leaving your car a dirty mess is better then running it through one of those places..
  19. Crazy, brakes on a 2020?? Hell i have over 7 years and close to 50k miles on my oem brakes now.... And for the love of god people, please stop buying that china powerstop junk, if you are not going to a big brake setup from Brembo or Wilwood you are wasting your time and money imo! Either spend the premium to get quality or just remain oem imo.
  20. Not surprising when you co-develop it with a completely different manufacture "Ford" and then try and stick it in multiple models both car and truck. I guess it is good that it seems to be a good performing trans, but it looks like the ability to repair or service has been compromised with it.
  21. I'm willing to bet the directive changed because they are having issues getting parts from suppliers like almost every other product in this country right now. Good luck and hope you have at the very least a good service manager to work with.
  22. I have seen it here a few times were cheap GM instead of doing what's right and replacing them all, decided to only do one side and within a few weeks guess what happens, yes the other side goes bad! Some people kind of spend the 50+ grand on a new truck so they can trust what they are driving, hard to do that whe known problems are allowed to continue because Gm doesn't have the parts to fix their problems correctly. Let's face it that is the true reason why they seem to be going away from the correct procedure with replacing them all, trying to hope that the remaining parts hold up. Not cool if you ask me when you have made like 1 or 2 payments on the thing!
  23. I'll just give my entire life of trucks which is last 25 years now since i don't change my vehicles like underwear as some of you here seem to do haha. 1989 S10 Baja edition-used 1995 S10 ZR2 ext cab.-new 2005 Silverado Z71 ext cab.-new 2014 GMC Sierra A/T ext cab.-new
  24. Option - Advanced trailing system +$2,500 Option deduction "no chips" - Advanced trailing system credit -$50.00 Funny how to add this option it more than likely costs thousands, but when they deduct it because of part shortages they only deduct no doubt the real cost of this option lol.
