  1. Those are lift kits that come with spindles to correct geometry. I wouldn't call that a spindle lift. But tomayto, tomahto, you know? Who cares. This is what I'm referring to, for example. http://cstsuspension.com/2014-1500-2wd-pick-up/206-spindle-kit-2014-1500-2wd-p-u-35-55-front-only.html
  2. A knuckle or spindle lift is just a new knuckle that keeps the tie rod and ball joint angles in correct geometry but drops the hub. It only works on 2wd trucks because there is no axle to cause issue. Edit: The reason I say its a knuckle lift is because I remember looking for the source of that picture because I loved the stance of that truck. And I'm 99% sure that is the info I found.
  3. Pretty sure thats a 2wd with a knuckle lift. It's more than a level.
  4. You're really making me want that zone 1.5"...
  5. My truck does the exact same thing. I'd describe it as more of a chugging sound than ticking, but otherwise you've described it exactly. I tried higher octane fuel and it doesn't change anything. I just recently noticed that it seems to only happen in V4 mode so I may just buy a hypertech and turn off AFM. EDIT: Also my truck did not start making this distinctive noise until 10-15k miles so there's no way it's supposed to do that.
  6. Thanks bud! It actually is a ZR5. It's the fender flares that make it look like a ZR2. They were custom made by a member on the s10 crew cab forum. I agree these s10's are awesome. I just can't get rid of mine. Especially after putting so much money into the solid axle swap lol
  7. Yes that's ok. You don't have to wait until you get your new wheels and tires.
  8. ^ The c-clip holding the bottom spring seat in place terrifies me. How can a miniscule little thing like that sustain such force?
  9. I'm looking at running 285/75r17's. What is the offset on your wheels? Got pics?
  10. Can someone with the Zone 4.5" post a picture of their angles? I have a crazy idea which I dont know will work or not. I'd love to lift the front of my truck about 3.5 or 4 inches but I don't want RC's 3.5" kit and I'm not spending the money for BDS's 4" kit (which I read is way over 4 inches anyways). I'm also not interested in overextended 4" kits like Mcgaughys or Readylift. What if I installed Zones 4.5" kit, for example, but used RC's 3.5" spacers from their kit (or Bilstein adjustables with a 3" level block)? Stupid idea? Would my angles be in the negative? I think Zone's 4.5" angles are pretty flat so I'm thinking the angle of my axles might be inverted.
  11. None 275/70r18 (tallest, not widest) Any will do. I went with Rough County's and have no complaints. Zone, Readylift and TGC are other options off the top of my head. All do the same thing with the same parts. Not unintelligent at all. They've just been asked and answered 10,000 times lol
  12. Does the Zone 4.5" kit actually lift the truck 4.5"? Or is it more? I believe someone posted that BDS's 4" lift was actually 5" or even 5.5" which is really disappointing. I would like a true 4" kit. I don't think anyone is running Skyjackers 4" or Procomps 4" but I could be wrong. I'd love to see those...
  13. Looks amazing. Thank you for not putting giant rims on your truck.
  14. I'm 3 towns south of you, Ryan
  15. The ride is completely unchanged in my opinion. Nothing to be worried about whatsoever. I don't have any great pics, really. This is the best I've got for you. Stock tires
  16. Yes, this is exactly what I did for the same reason. Wanted some rake for towing/hauling.
  17. I'm facing the exact same dilemma as you. I'd like to go 285/75/18 or 295/70/18. I don't think anyone has gone with those tire sizes. I wonder which would fit better. One is a bit wider and the other is a bit taller. I'm sure with the fender mod these tires would fit no problem on a leveled truck. There were a couple guys running 35's on 18" wheels with just a level. One was on GMFS (http://www.gmfullsize.com/forum/showpost.php?p=5513077&postcount=41) and the other guy was here (I think he had a red Sierra and he was running trail graps). 275/70/18 is a safe bet but like you said, it just doesn't seem like enough.
  18. Anyone running 285/75r18 tires on a leveling kit? It's roughly 34.5" by 11.5."
  19. Definitely need to see some sharper pics!
  20. Yes sir, your truck looks good. Definitely throw a leveling kit on it. I used rough country's 2.5" kit but without the .5" strut spacer. I wanted to maintain some rake for hauling/towing
  21. 2" in front and 1" in back. (Rough country's 2.5" kit without the .5" spacer) Pulling my other black rig My buddy's 2014 (identical to mine) with a 6" procomp, 20x10 fuel whatevers and 35x13.5 I believe.
  22. 2" up front, 1" in back
  23. What suspension lift are you running?
  24. I didn't
