Got the Horse and Wagon out of the stable and went for a little vacation.First time with my truck. Interested on what I would average in MPG. 11 on the way out and 14 coming back.I was a little lighter on the right foot coming home. The best I got with my Ram was 8.But it was a Mega Cab
Why hasn't anybody painted what use to be valve covers.I haven't seen any covers painted on the 5.3. I know it's not a valve cover, just thought it would look better to match the cover that's not included with our trucks.
Ebay has the Get a Grip 100 of them $8 a piece or 1 for under $20...Go in business. I'm sure you can sell them here

Have you heard of the Get-A-Grip? I have one and it saved me from crawling in to get things that slide all the way to the cab. http://www.sportsmansguide.com/product/index/get-a-grip-multi-use-truck-tool?a=431383
It's more of what I didn't do to my truck. I didn't put on the new AVS Bugflector. I don't want it . If anybody does make an offer. I'll send it to you. Never opened...
Any body paint what use to be the valve covers? I think that would look good. I would like to see it before I do it. I found some 5.3 powered emblems that are chrome. I would use them on the black covers and paint the cover mentioned black to match.
We need to get together with other reg cab owners and complain to GMC about the rear speakers. I also hate that the seats are the same as in other models with 4 doors. They do not allow the seat back to fold forward to gain access to the jack. And why would we need storage pockets behind the seats? WRANT,WRANT !!!!
I know this is What did you do,but in my case it's what I didn't do. I bought a AVS Bugflector #23027 and decided not to put it on. I have it for trade. Brand new never opened. I think this is the best place to post, then someone will post a pick of it on their truck. It fits the 1500 Sierra. I'm looking for foot well and engine compartment lights.
I found a post on you tube on the 2014 sierra dome light. The wires are under the drivers side windshield post.or the grab handle. it's the bigger grey wire. I haven't looked yet on mine but that's where it was said to be. I'm going to use a 12 volt tester and poke the wire to see if it works as it should. It will be the weekend till I get to mine. I'm planning on installing lights on my doors inside under the handles on the door panel so it will light up the interior and when I open the doors it will light up the steps. I'm going to route the wires with the other wires thru the rubber sleeve that carries the other door wires. Now if I can only figure out how to get the panel off .
What I have done is get rid of my Dodge Mega Cab and buy a Reg Cab sierra with a 6.6 bed. I love it.I could park in a regular spot and not have to look for two spots open thru so I can drive 1/2 way into the next one. Makes people mad when they say oh.. theres a spot and see me in it.
