  1. Did you plastidip over the parking sensors also or did you get the factory white ones? And if you plastidipped them, is there any performance differences in the sensors with the dip over them?
  2. any body here install a long arm setup? I am curious as to how the ride quality is and how much it affects the towing capabilities.
  3. thanks for the info. wonder how much different the sierra internals are. i believe they were plastic(from pictures) though as opposed to the aluminum composite cast that most headlights have like the silverados. I will keep this in mind though.
  4. for the tl projectors, were you using the original solenoid or the slim solenoid? if the original, do you think using the slim internal mount solenoid would fit without weakening the mounting surface? http://www.hidplanet.com/forums/showthread.php?53936-TL-R-Solenoid-Converted-Bi-Xenons
  5. beautiful truck. another zaino user i see. Cant wait(or not) until the weather gets better so i can clay, and cut out all the orange peel off this black. kind of not looking forward to detailing this truck though. haha
  6. what do you guys think of running this Power-Gate Dual Rectifier Isolator and using the 2nd battery to run other accessories with a relay/fuse box like OEM designs? http://www.perfectswitch.com/isolators/dual-rectifier-isolator/ I plan on having a winch up front and rear, a 30"-40" light bar in the grill, dual 10" light bar in the rear, or J.W. Speaker model 61xx series lights in the rear to aid for extra lighting, probably will do an air compressor eventually, and not sure what else in the future.
  7. From this thread post #26. http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/161931-need-multifunction-switch-instrument-panel-diagram/ there are upfitter switches with all the options but it only leaves you 1 extra switch, and if you want it to say AUX instead of the exhaust brake, you would need to get 2 different switch sets.
  8. Has anybody confirmed which models get the aluminum suspension?
  9. Wow, that service bulletin is pretty ridiculous. Over time this will corrode our headlights and wiring in the control modules of the LED board inside it. I noticed it happening on mine too. I have owned it for less than a month and it happened. If you are reading GM Rep, PLEASE PUSH THIS UP AS THIS IS NOT SMART FOR THE ELECTRONICS OVER TIME, it could be a year, or probably after warranty. But this seems like a major problem with GM as all generations of GM trucks I see do not have the correct lights on more often than not, lights not working, high beams for low beams, wrong marker lights working for signals, cross wired low beams acting up with signals, etc as opposed to all the other manufacturers of cars and trucks with the proper lights mostly working no matter what year or model it is for what the light is intended for.
  10. For those Sierras that have done retrofits, have any of you guys thought of cutting up the oem shroud and pushing the projectors further forward? It seems as if the shrouds deflect our light beam a slight bit and may hinder our projection of light to the sides. I remember reading some where on hidplanet.com that another Sierra owner had a weird light output in a particular spot caused by probably the shroud. Any input from those of you that have done retrofits? I believe he had the fx-r projectors in there but I can not seem to find the thread.
  11. Don't cut the back of the housing, or the headlight lens. Heat up the sealant via oven or heat gun and take the headlight apart properly and reseal. It is fairly simply, you just have to be patient. Google the method, there are plenty tutorials around.
  12. I understand your feeling on that. I just hate carbon buildup in my intake stream even on my direct port injection engine builds.
  13. I was actually going to email them today about what they can do. Does it deal with both clean side valve cover lines? I talked to one of the guys at RX about doing a dual inlet and dual outlet on a single can for that to take care of the clean side.
  14. Can you by chance release the name of the company and some teaser pictures?
  15. Has anybody found the part number or ordered the vacuum line and fittings that goes from the valley to the intake manifold for the 5.3L yet? I can find the valve cover to the intake box part #s, but can not find the dirty(vacuum) side at all online.
  16. Good to know that those are stickers so I can just peel them off. And when you ordered the setup, did you call them or let them know it's for our trucks? I would think they would send you the proper size hoses and fittings.
  17. http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/cadillac-cts-first-generation-forum-2003/232878-oil-catch-can-update-2.html Great write up and cut aways of different cans. This seals my decision on the rx occ
  18. Is there not a crankcase vent hose on the other bank? If there is, why is everyone only doing the 1 bank on the driver side?
