  1. Drove a ATX4 today and was kinda let down, shocks were stiffer then stock, ride was unimpressive, I was expecting more of a Fox shock feel which each smaller bumps and is a smooth ride, these shocks are stiffer then stock, I'm guessing they eat BIG bumps better but day to day a huge let down. Really wanted to order the upper control arms but I see the mount the brake lines on them, guessing I will stick with stock or go aftermarket upper control arms.
  2. My question is can we simply swap out the upper control arms? Seems like a great option for those looking to simply crank the torsion bars while correcting the ball joint angle. Would be interesting to compare a stock, ZR2, and a Cognito/Kryptonite. I am used to using aftermarket A-arms and front diff spacers, seems the GM version actually lowers the entire cradle. Crazy GM went through all this work for 1.5in as the rest of the height comes from the taller tires.
  3. Is that 15-20hp across the band or at peak rpm? I have seen many dynos with cold air intakes that show 22hp gains yet they are down power everywhere but the specific small spot where there is a gain. Fakenews... I am a header fan but a small cam L96 that doesn't spend much time in the 4000+rpm peak power rangers I just don't see making huge gains where they are needed.
  4. Leave it be, how often are you truly at full lock? Even then it makes zero difference, wheel spacers come with their own headaches.
  5. How much power is gained with headers over a stock tuned 6.0?
  6. Unless you are going to cam and tune you are wasting your time.
  7. Removed lower valance, leveled, and tires. Well done! Tire size 305/55/20's or 35x12.5x20's?
  8. KO2's in 285/65/20 There is another 2500HD that runs around here with that combo and leveled and it looks perfect!
  9. Sorry I just seen where you listed that in the level thread, I sure think they are bigger then that though, I see Cooper makes a 305/70/18, wonder if they are that as they look closer to 35's.
  10. '17 Denali with High Country wheels, don't see that combo everyday.
  11. Yep, anything under 4,400rpm is on the bottom side of the powerband.
  12. Both great tires!
  13. Yep they fit.
  14. 5,000+ rpm is screaming, peek power isn't till 4,400rpm... You won't hurt the motor, let it spin and try to keep it in the power band.
  15. It gets worse, wait till you load it down. Look at all the money you saved though.
  16. I would do the same, keep your good looking 20's and BFG's to put on new truck.
  17. It damn sure better be gas as a Duramax will lift the heads off the block when glow plugs cycle...
  18. Yes I am aware as I own a 6.0 3500 SRW, the poster in question has a Duramax and I am going to go out on a limb and assume he ordered his new 3500 with a Duramax as well meaning that both trucks share the same frame, axle, and leaf spring pack minus the overloads that are added to the top of the pack although they make no difference untill the truck squats 2-3in.
  19. Same leaf pack minus the over loads that sit on top of the leaf pack, same AAM axle, same frame. No price difference.
  20. He will gain overload springs and a door sticker that has a higher load rating while loosing his 20in. wheels. A 2500+3500 SRW don't have much difference. I find the 3500 to be a no brainier unless you want the factory 20's and don't want to swap them out.
  21. Where abouts are you staying in Florida? Sharp truck!!!
  22. I would guess much closer to 60+hp with cam, headers, tune.
