  1. Thanks for the reply. GM gave me XM for a year on both trucks. It's about over but I thought there would be a fix by now. My vibs only happens on the crew cab truck on certain road conditions . Was worse before I installed a leer cap.
  2. Let us know if they have a fix for the radio reception issues. Thanks
  3. my comments are above
  4. Bad hot wire to the alternator from the battery or connections of the same.
  5. That was a guess on my part about the alternator but between insurance and GM you should be fine. Try to get some extended warrenity because of fire related problems or another truck. You're get there! We visit your area often and love it.
  6. Bet it gets fixed this time. Hope it's on GM's dime since it was noted before. Sounds like the alternator let go.
  7. My dealer made many dimes from me.They want me to trade every time I take it back in.Let!s see, two trucks times ten equals way too many visits. Know all their names. Who's to blame? Looked at Rams yesterday but my low mileage trucks are not worth anything. Sad!
  8. Did you jack the truck up? Many reported vibs went away for a short time after jacking the truck up or rotating tires. Only to return later on.
  9. Only way to balance is wheels and tires on the truck and as the tires wear and rotations are done vibrations can be different. Better or worse.
  10. Congradutions are in order. I think it's great that a fix was found. Even if it doesn't fix all trucks it will fix some trucks. What about the front drive shaft? Think it could be a suspect in some trucks? Sure would like a fix for my FM radio reception. Any ideas? Can you be a multiple hero? My headlights suck also.
  11. My 2009 would drain the battery and after several attempts and after starting lemon procedure they found the door locks going to ground. The locks solenoid was made in Mexico. Fixed it.
  12. True but lawmakers have never drove a Sierra ! I put 5202 headlight bulbs in the fogs and they come on with the brights. Added aux lights also to drive at night.Original lights suck on the sierras.
  13. Loyality means nothing to GM and the dealers. They rehearse the reasons our trucks don't work right. Blowed me off on my radio reception issues .Nothing they can do. Working as designed.SAD
  14. Done the fog mod with the bright on.Helped but not enough.Replaced fogs with LEDs.Helped but not enought.Added a license plate mount from ACI with LEDs. Helped some more. Wired these straight to the battery with a remote control switch.Programmed one of the garage door openers to the remote also in case the battery goes dead in the remote.Installed LEDs in the headlights.Starnill from Amazon. Installed 5202 headlight bulbs in the fogs. Too bright for oncoming traffic with everything on but great on the back roads. This set up hurts in fog driving but makes deer stop in their tracks. Reflects off of snow also. Really cuts darkness. The upgrade with the volsa bulbs was no better than the 9011's I installed.9011's are pretty good also. Spent money and time but I can see pretty well now. Wife's Durango was great from factory.
  15. Got rid of my clunk with rear spring clamps.
  16. Firing order is different on the new 5.3's? Any connection to someone's vibs?
  17. If new battery doesn't fix it check into the power door locks / remote.
  18. Go Monday for a magnaflow.
  19. Took mine in to look at several things including the clamps that hold the radiator together. They said pressure test was fine and found no broke clamps(concern not duplicated at this time). They must have looked at the hose clamps! Just wanted it docemented on paper at this visit.
  20. They responded to me after several days on the radio thread! Everything is still up in the air except better reception.
  21. Installed in front 5 inches for the low speed clunking when going from forward to reverse and low speed trans shifts. Helped a lot. No vibs yet before or after install.
  22. Put mine in front of axle to get rid of the clunk at low speeds. Ride is a little stiffer but no clunks when going from reverse to forward. Don't notice the low speed shift clunks either.
