  1. im not much of an auto guy at all so excuse any newb idea/question/sentence i have coming up .. Looking to upgrade tires and wheels. I have seen lots posts with a certain few brands Nitto, Cooper, Toyo and some BFG. Which of these 4 would give me the best for my buck in what im looking for. I do not do any off roading at all, if anything maybe drive through an open field with a few hills at most. I will be towing a boat during summer (idk specific size yet but not huge). I know they wont be as quiet as these stock tires but something thats not annoying/loud. Also im in Montana so winter conditions last for about 5-6 months so really good performance on snow is key and as well as dry hot pavement. I do more "city" driving than anything. My inital choice is Terra Grappler, followed by Open Country AT, KO2, Discoverer AT. I love the look of the Terra Grappler. Oh and for size Im looking for 295/55R22 but having hard time findin that in any of these brands. Other sizes considered 285/55R22, 285/55R20, 305/50R20 (these would prob rub, i dont want rubbing). Plan on installing a 2" level kit as well, do I need to add blocks in the rear? Going 2" because i dont want to sit nose high when towing. Ok thats a lot to process but thanks in advance ive been reading posts and see you guys give great advice to others, hoping I can be lead in the right direction.
  2. Just got a call back from the shop down the street from my work, asking 365 for labor/alignment. Much better than the $500 places.
  3. This is my plan. Have been calling around and so far between local shops, chains, and custom shops theyre saying around 450-550. I got a cpl more places to get ahold of though. 1 question i do have is .. whats the difference between RC and Pro Comp besides the $100 proce differencr. Is Pro Comp or any higher priced brand a better quality?
  4. Lol none of that i have. But youre def right im sure itd save me a lot in the long run for things that are DIY doable/fixable. At the same time I always worry about things that arent 100% cosmetic that are done outside of a business in case something happens ya know.
  5. So far i have called 4 places locally here in MT (2 tire shops and 2 custom shops) and thats where their prices are ranging. I havent talked to the dealer yet, may wait on one of those flyers they keep sending out thats 15%off accessories
  6. Finally gonna get around to getting a level kit installed. Was hoping I could hit around the $300 range Ive been seeing you guys talk about but up here its looking like $450-$550. Gonna go with 2" to keep a lil bit of rake since I'll be towing a boat this summer dont wanna sit nose high. Im on stock tires/wheels for now prob wont upgrade there for another 6 months or so. Thinking of going with Terra Grapplers not sure on size yet though. Good looking truck everyone so many diff looks but all great at the same time.
  7. Enjoy .. i really like mine. I believe youll have 4 support brwckets opposed to my silverado 3. But i plan on in putting a 4th since im getting a replacement bar from Raptor which will have new support brackets, so will just add another to the rocker panel and let the bar rest on it
  8. was changing out my cargo lamp (finally) upon removing the screws .. i dropped one of them .... the odds of it falling smack in the middle between cab and bed have to small right ... and odds that it lands in that middle area that connects the cab and bed have to be even smaller .. welp im out of a screw so my cargo lamp is snapped in and screwed in with one screw. Other than that the lights look good. My truck is now 80% (i would say) LED lighting. Just need high beams and fogs
  9. Darn lol Smart move though enjoy bro
  10. Nice .. what are you doing with the stock wheels??
  11. The '15 does have a welded nut. Its on the rear hole on the rocker panel. Its for the bottom hole i believe .. kinda hard to explain. I may be able to get a pic here soon
  12. Heres how the 194 Philips bulb looks
  13. I think diesels are the only ones that have cab mounts
  14. Washed my truck and all kinds of water of course going everywhere. Access Lorado held up very well. No water got in except for when i actually sprayed the bed to wash it
  15. Only pic of mine i can come across right now, gives you an idea though. Im glad i did it
  16. WHOA!!!! I think youre missing some parts and something isnt installed correctly it should not look like that ... send those back if you did it all correctly, buy some things else. Do you really on have 1 support bracket for the entire bar? Just in the middle? WHOA!!!! I think youre missing some parts and something isnt installed correctly it should not look like that ... send those back if you did it all correctly, buy some things else. Do you really on have 1 support bracket for the entire bar? Just in the middle?

  20. Yeah if you ever come this way its worth a visit if you have to pass through Bozeman. Thats just the lake, there's also a few hiking trails that lead up to waterfalls off the mountain. Oh campgrounds and bike trails as well, people hold weddings out there too. If you get out this way, might as well visit Yellowstone while youre at it
