So you're too lazy to look at actual data, got it. No response to any of the facts I laid out, just a tantrum and trying to boast about supposedly "where you're at". LOL
-
Nobody is hoping for a scandal except the people that Fox news makes up as your supposed enemies. You just don't get it. Some of us WILL NOT tolerate the lies, deception and poor character coming from that man, PERIOD. We were not raised that way and we make no excuses or exceptions, certainly not for the crap leadership we've seen so far. Now let's get back to tariffs and address your "3 percent GDP". The problem is your superficial understanding and consumption of fake news and your laziness. Did you do any analysis to see why GDP was reported as a 3% increase? Did you? Be honest. If you did, you'd see that companies scrambled to load up on inventory during these slackwaters between tariff threats. Retailers have to prepare for the Christmas shopping season as early as late Spring, so they've been buying everything they can before they expect tariffs to go up. And of course that has an effect on a monthly or quarterly increase in GDP. Car buying? Same thing. People rushing in before tariffs get bad, or before certain automakers just stop offering certain models here because adding 15% on to the cost of a car isn't going to sell them. Did you look at inflation data? It's public information. But you didn't. If you did, you'd see that inflation was back up in June to 2.7%, driven by the cost of imported goods and FOOD including beef. Because tariffs are making things even harder for US farmers, harder for the beef industry, and imported beef (the majority of what you consume) has gone up because of tariffs. But you didn't do that because you're lazy and all you do is regurgitate what your propaganda sources tell you. The very definition of brainwashing.

No, I don't live in California. And no, I don't watch CNN. Your investments actually tanked this year before returning to their pre-2025 levels. Don't come at me with excuses and lies because I'll return facts and you're not gonna like it.
-
Failure? More like an epic disaster so far. Tariffs and all. They're taxes and you're frothing at the mouth to pay more of them because brainwashing. Inflation increased last month thanks to tariffs. Durrrr
-
When are you going to stop worshipping a false prophet? Like, all the lies and failures aren't enough yet? Begging for more?
-
Nobody I know hopes for failure. I'm not sure trusting someone, at this point, with more bankruptcies and failed businesses under their belt, to run a business--or a country--is a good strategy. Past performance is often an indicator of future performance. Oh, and I hate pedophiles.

Well, nevermind on that. It arrived yesterday. I have the factory all-weather floor liner from GM, and it has a ~1" rigid lip on the back of it that outlines the rear floor where it meets the jack on the passenger side. Unless I want to cut up the floor liner to allow the box to sit flush and allow enough room for the seat to fold down, it's not going in. I was hoping to just have to trim a corner or make a tiny little slice, not cutting out a 3"x12" section of the floor liner just to make the tub fit. I should have read more into the description, as way down in there it says it's not compatible with the all-weather floor liner (specifically from GM). Those who say it DOES work in the reviews clearly cut out a significant chunk of the liner. To get a different rear floor liner in there with a flat lip would be expensive because nobody allows you to buy just the rear (including Rough Country), so, it's going back. The search goes on. The end result probably looks like a bag of some sort containing only what I need that stows under the seat. I was hoping for more contained/secure storage space in general, so I'll have to spend $225 on the GM under seat bin if I want to make it work. That's ridiculous, even more ridiculous than for RC's $119.95 for a piece of molded plastic.

I installed the GM carpeted liners in mine when I bought the truck. They're not carpet, but they are a non-rigid fiber material like the fronts. Install wasn't hard, but it's not immediately intuitive. The top of them is cut to aid installation, and it needs to be overlapped correctly so wheel spray isn't shooting into the seam. The liners attach with a series of different retainers and clips, including where there may be plastic trim and splash guards. You just need to think for a moment how it should all go together in order. The finished product, installed, is solid and looks OE.
-
Same with the RC bin... looks like the bin secures on the stud for the jack and then the jack mounts inside. I'm not sure if the factory floor liner will need to be modified or not...I've found people saying it works just fine, or needs to be modified. I'll figure it out when it arrives.

I wish I had the front bench seat. GM forces a $600+ option for buckets with a console in the Trail Boss with the convenience packages. There doesn't need to be shifter on the console at the very least, it's electronic anyway and just takes up space.
-
I ordered one of these...cheap and cheerful...over $100 is still a lot for a piece of plastic, but I need a place to put gear under the rear seat. Anyone have it? Likes/dislikes? I bought it on Amazon in case I need to make use of their return policy.

And here you are, posting with all the other fish and calling people 'piranha'. Welcome to the party, pal. Grumpy < Hook < Line .... sinker.

It's like your other thread which apparently got deleted. Everyone is about free speech and being respectful until it's an issue which offends them, then nobody is allowed to talk about it b/c hurt feelings.

What, exactly, happened on that date? I think I might be glad I missed it. I'm not a militant athiest, but I don't believe in any God sold by religion.

And yet, here you are, with your bag of yarn. Have a seat, dear, don't just stand there...

To Trade or Not to Trade...
Atlas replied to ForestryGuy's topic in 2014-2018 Silverado 1500 & Sierra 1500
Objectively, it's usually cheaper in the long run to drive a vehicle until the wheels fall off. It's not wrong to spend on repairs even if the value is low. The cost of replacing the vehicle, depreciation on a new vehicle, insurance on a new vehicle, etc will always be formidable compared to keeping a vehicle going if you can, even if there's a big repair bill every now and then. That said, your preferences and wants are absolutely a consideration. It's not wrong to have nice things if spending on a new/newer truck isn't going to hinder progress towards your other financial goals. The newer T1/T1-Refresh trucks are really nice. Drive one if you haven't already. The 10-speed in a 1500 is...decent. I'm of a mindset that these trucks really don't need more than 6 forward gears. 10 is shifty, but the transmission does a decent job of making it smooth and somewhat logical. My view is a little skewed, I have the diesel. FWIW, I didn't really like the 10-speed when it was behind a 5.3. The DFM plus constant shifting was too much. The diesel seems to do better holding gears, and the turbo boost is any gear is great. I wouldn't read too much into the comments about electronics. Your 2018 is one big computer too. GM did a nice job of retaining buttons and switches where you need them, and the head unit is intuitive. THey did a nice job with the cluster display and configurability. Analysis paralysis means it's time to decide how you feel about the data. Which would you rather have? -
It's the collision of free will and predestination that gets me. Did god will those children to die? Did he see it coming, and didn't care, allowed it to happen? Or, was he powerless to do anything about it? If you believe in free will, logically you have to cede that god isn't all-powerful or all-knowing. Can't be, in this universe. He created it, according to fairytale. The design is his. And if he's not in charge, well, then, I want to speak to a manager. And is it really free choice, or "a" choice, if the choice is between eternal punishment, or giving affection to a jealous, spiteful, and narcissitic being? That really starts to sound like domestic violence and enslavement. The children died, and I prefer to believe God didn't have hand there, because he doesn't exist. Not in the way the religious people think "it" does. Because the alternatives - that he willed those children to die, or let it happen on his watch - is even worse. Those children aren't in a better place. They had the gift of life stolen from them. Also, what happened to being "done" with me? Admit it, you love chatting with me. And customboss too. You guys can't break up yet...

The origins of this thread, like how god let all those children drown in Texas? It's a damn shame.

The overlapping agreement of accountants, legal staff, engineers, and consumers, is that the powertrain in these trucks should last at least 5 years and 60,000 miles (or 100k, if you happen to own a diesel, in the case of GM fullsize trucks). Some parts are warranted for longer, and some less.

One of the pieces that bothers me is taking sides from the perspective of "...but the California fires!". It's not fires-versus-floods. We as Americans deal with all kinds of natural and man-made disasters. Both of these were natural disasters. California has an extremely high population concentrated in an area with dry and hot conditions. Fires are a fact of life there, and yes, it's going to take a lot of time to rebuild because of the extent of property damage. Years. Texas and the South/Southwest has flooding and storm systems coming off the Gulf of Mexico. That's also a fact of life. I think terminology needs to be better understood as well. A "100 year flood" doesn't mean it only happens every 100 years. It means it has a 1% chance of occurring in a given year, which also means there is a nonzero probability of that kind of flood happening every few years. WE ALL can learn from these events. Better forecasting. Better prevention. Better risk mitigation. That's not blame - at all. It's about being better equipped to save lives and protect property going forward. Facts <> Opinion. There are no alternative facts -- only lies.

Nah, hearing that Trump was informed by the DOJ in May that his name appears in the EPSTEIN FILES (Client list?) is way more interesting. Besides, according to Karnut they're done rebuilding and they have all the help that was needed. https://www.forbes.com/sites/zacharyfolk/2025/07/23/trump-told-in-may-he-was-in-epstein-files-report-says/

I mean, there are accounts of the guy sexualizing his 17 year old daughter. But apparently that eluded your moral requirements for POTUS, even before the Epstein business. But support and defend whomever you think deserves it, I guess? Not me, I'm better than that.

Why do you simp for pedophiles? Gross. Maybe hate is the correct response towards pedophilia and those who support it? Hmm?
