  1. Ok so today, I installed a new starter. One observation is that when I removed or installed the ground wire to battery, with old starter, I got a good spark...telling me something was pulling voltage.... Now, with the new starter installed the spark is gone... I'll keep everyone informed my "no start" condition returns.. Today is 25Feb19 and I have 56181 miles now... Just fyi, this took me about 1-1/2 hrs start to finish... I jacked up, removed right tire, inner fender, and easy access....
  2. Does anyone know where we can access TSB's?   I think I found a few pertaining to my 2015 Silverardo "NoStart/No Crank" issues...  PIP5391/5130E and maybe 5650D...

  3. Ok so I purchased a new battery and installed it... No joy! I jacked the truck up and rapped on the starter (since I've previously heard the clicking of the Bendix, at least I think so..) After rapping, again no joy... I did receive the "Lower window and raise window message". No change... So, I then just kept clicking the key and after like 6 times, it started... Hmmmmm..... When I was on the ground, I put a mirror up looking at wires around the starter. All the upper wires on the solenoid were very rusted and oxidised... So where to next? People on here have spoken about battery fixes, starter fix, ground wires, and a TSB which I've yet to find... So I think I'll remove the starter and clean all the wires and see where that takes me... All comments and suggestions are welcome!
  4. So I have a 2015 Silverardo WT, 50k miles, with plow package but no plow or 2nd battery. About 6 months ago, this happened. Triple A came, said battery good... Had towed home. The next day I cleaned all wires in battery area, messed with wires and after trying several times to start, it started! Not 100% sure why though. Now it's happening again... Trying to start, dash goes Black except for service engine orange light, I can hear what appears to be the starter bendix click in, and nothing.. A few seconds later, sounds like the bendix kicks out and the "Service theft Deterrent system" message appears. A few months back I thought the truck was starting to start slow.. So I think I'll try putting in a new battery as others have stated... But i may try crawling under the truck and cleaning the starter terminals first... I'll update on my progress.. Oh and I have an aftermarket remote starter also... At first my dealer said it was that too...
  5. Rechecked my truck last night at the 68-75mph range. The roadforce balance with 2 new tires did the job... As others had mentioned, I did try for the 4 new tires but because the truck only had 1000 miles on it, they wouldn't budge....
  6. Of the two new tires my dealer put on, I did notice one of the other ones they left had a LOT of weight on it.... I too like my truck but agree with others that the quality has gone down... I've still got some vibration, rear end "Clunk" sometimes, then there is the "Ching" sound when I apply the gas easily after letting it coast. All these issues are on this forum so I'm not alone...
  7. So I purchased this Siverardo back in April of this year. It now has just over 2k miles on it. This truck had the crossover pipe replaced when I purchased it because I found a crack in the pipe where the factory tooling flattens it. For what it's worth, I have this "Chirp" as you say, but I hear it as a "Ching" sound also. It happens always when I allow it to coast a bit then hit the accellerator. I also hear a lot of rattles coming from that area mostly on cold start-up and then it dissapates a little. I brought it to the dealer here in Massachusetts. I gave them a typed paper explaining all my concerns. They printed out a couple of reports and told me it was normal noise.. It's very annoying. They did take care of the 70mph vibration but these driving sounds and noise are bad also... This dealership has seen me alot, but hey, I just took out a mortgage on a truck and I think the issues should be taking care of. One thing I also tried, because of my prior experience as an auto mechanic, was having someone hold their hand over the tailpipe with a rag.. You can definately hear leaks up there... Anyone else hear this? I was wondering if this could also be linked to the strange noise I hear when traveling down the road in the left lane, say against a road partition... Strange sounds being bounced back...
  8. I have a 2015 4x4 Silverardo 1500 regular cab, 8 ft bed with just over 2k miles now. Just after 500 miles, I started to notice a vibration right at 70mph. At 65 didn't notice at all, and at 75, started going away. Brought to dealer here and they Load balanced and found two bad tires from factory. They replaced and I'd say 75% of the vibration has gone away. Thus making it shall I say less offensive. Wade
