  1. I came across this thread because my gas pedal is making a horrible squeaking/creaking noise. I noticed the flex while I was down there checking out the noise. Has anyone else had a noise associated with this issue?
  2. What year and how many miles? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Yes let me know! I'm going to at least bring it up when I'm in for my oil change in May. Get in on record in case it gets bad. The 2014/2015 I saw today had rust in the same areas but 10x worse. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Was at a Chevrolet dealer today and looked at a couple of frames of used trucks through the rear wheel wells. Two 2016s looked pretty good while one 2014/2015 looked atrocious. I've seen better frames on 10 year old trucks. It had a nice bright orange patina on the frame. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. now that's a shaker! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Yea I'm not sure if I should take it in or not. This is a 3 month old truck though.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Do you guys think this rust is bad enough to address with my dealer? On the fence about it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I just thought of something. When you guys are getting tires replaced, especially if they are changing one and two at time, is GM shaving the new tires down to match the diameter of your other tires? Just curious because it could create some differential issues. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Damn I tried the Toyota fix, even went with their premium brand Lexus. Now I have 2 vehicles that vibrate. Be right back , I have some service appointments to make! I should not be feeling the road in these vehicles it's unacceptable! /sarcasm I guess you guys took our comments out of context. Of course there is a vibration issue with these trucks nobody is saying there isn't. We were talking about the people that drove 15 GM trucks and said all of them vibrate, yea ok buddy. I drove a few when shopping and none vibrated. You are either super sensitive or have the worst luck in selecting trucks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I agree that some people in this thread are very sensitive to vibrations. Hell I was to when I was reading this thread and then going out and driving my truck. However, I went out and drove the same road in my wife's 2015 Lexus, guess what, I get the same vibes as in my truck. It might be more of a mental thing. My console does shake from time to time however I don't consider it a issue because I can't even feel it nor does it bother me in anyway. The only reason I notice it is from reading about it hear. 11. I'm not surprise they do this. Could you imagine the next customer reporting the same problem with no disclosure from GM about the buy back? A lawyer would have a field day in discovery if the second owner went down the lemon law road. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. My understanding is that if GM buys back the vehicle voluntarily then they don't have to brand it as a lemon. Now say you file a lemon law suit and the court makes GM buy back the vehicle, then it will be branded as a lemon. This may be different depending on your state laws as well. 13. What did it cost you with shipping? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Can you post a video of the vibration with a water bottle in the console? I'm curious what these dealers are calling "normal".
  15. Say the engineers know how to fix the problem but it will cost an extra $500 per truck. GM sells about half a million trucks per year correct? That's $250 million a year that would come out of there pockets to ultimately fix the vibration problems. Now say the vibration only affects half a percent of trucks (2500 trucks). If they buy back each and every one of those trucks for say 50k a piece that is $125 million. Now, half of those people got the vibration fixed through wheel balancing. We are down to $62.5 million for GM to take care of the vibration vs $250 million a year for the ultimate fix. Of course GM is going to do the cheaper route and save money. This is just an illustration of probably what the bean counters are doing at GM. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. What did you pay out the door? Or I guess a better question would be what was the agreed upon price of the truck with all the accessories? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. That might be a bent axle tube. You should feel it when braking if it's the rotor correct? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Are there any options for the Stock Reflector's on a 2015 Silverado LT? Would like to upgrade my lights eventually but I haven't seen much.
  19. What can we use to repair this? What are they using at the factory?
  20. Agree 100% with this. My truck is vibration free and have talked to others at gas stations that have no issues or vibrations. For those that are buying Tundras, my mom used to sell Toyotas. She said ask for invoice minus any available rebates. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Well this just popped up on my Facebook feed: http://www.weitzlux.com/firm-news/firm-news-2016/safety-concerns-on-gm-vehicle-vibrations/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Good information! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Those "circles" on the frame by the rear wheels are starting to rust on my 2015 with a build date of 8/2015. Truck is one month old with 1200 miles. It isn't very bad yet but when does it get bad enough to take it in?
  24. Most people have trouble determining if the vibration in their vehicle is coming from the DRIVESHAFT or not. There are typically two types of vibration most vehicles would have. A fast cycle vibration or a slow cycle vibration, to help understand this lets say we put a bucket of water on the passenger’s floor. If the vibration in the vehicle produces small ripples on the top of the water this would be considered a fast cycle vibration. This type of vibration is usually a drive train vibration, things like the driveshaft, motor or torque converter. If the vibration puts waves on the top of the water or splashes, this type of vibration is a slow cycle vibration and usually is an axle or tire vibration. People have trouble determining where the vibration in their vehicle is coming from. Try the test below if your not sure. https://www.driveshaftshop.com/driveshafts-101 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Balanced by hose clamps? Are they serious? I would be livid. Seems like a bandaid. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
