What have you done to your K2 today?

Installed a wireless charger in my console this weekend. I wont go in detail on the steps as most know how to do it, but when putting the plastic tray back in I used 4 screws to mount the plastic tray back in place. The tray does still sit flush, and has no visual difference or feel than when 6 screws were in. I have used this over the weekend, and it has easily picked up the phone each time it is set down, and remains charging as long as the truck in on. Below is the charger I used. To access the wireless coil, there are 4 rubber feet on the bottom that you need to remove. This will give you access to 4 screws. Once they are removed simply separate the top and bottom and the coil will come out. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B017KQXO4U/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 -

Use a flat head and push the release clip up and pull on the housing at the same time. -

It didn’t get dark until I got home, tried to get a few in the neighborhood. These are very bright. The image not in the neighborhood are the stock lights on a backroad. Sorry the pictures aren’t great. -

I appreciate it. With the time change I should be able to get some on the way home tonight. -

Finally got around to installing my XenonDepot Extreme LED Pro low beams and fogs. Haven’t been able to test them during driving at night, but the color is so much better. Excited to see how well they light up the road. -
Just saw this post, I will go ahead and introduce next. Name is Chris, and I have lived in Texas since I was born. Besides a short stint at UNT for college, I have lived around the Rockwall area (about 30 minutes east of Dallas). I drive a 2015 Crew Cab 4x4 Texas Edition. As most Texans are I am proud of being from Texas, so I just ordered Matte Black Texas Edition logos so that I can keep it on my truck and remove the chrome. Was my first truck to buy new, and it is a slow build to where I hope to get it eventually.

I know it doesn’t change how far they stick out, that wasn’t what I was trying to say. At a positive offset of more than 18 though the rear tire would still be inside of the fender, with the front tire then protruding outside of it. That would make for a more visually unappealing look to me than how mine sets. Not sure if that makes sense.
-
Guess it also depends on your initial offset. It’s just hard to tell from about any angle on my wheels. I actually asked the shop to order bora spacers when they put it on. They said I should wait until I see it. I saw it and didn’t think it was enough. Plus didn’t want to cut my studs down. I get where you are coming from though.
-
They are, but there are 10 other things I want to do before that’s even on my list. Just doesn’t bother me enough to make it a priority. My new lights just came in today, my wife wants me to install amp steps soon. Then a bed cover, so on and so on. Your truck’s stance is good looking though.
-
But it doesn’t affect how it drives, and for the most part how it looks. I do notice it a lot more now that I have it on my own truck. Most trucks I see with a lift have the front wheels pushed out and the rear wheels not spaced out. I’m a perfect world, I would like them at the same width, but there are other things I’ll do first.
-
Why do you have to run spacers? I don’t have them on mine? Honestly, I thought it would bug the crap out of me. It isn’t as bad as you think it’ll bed. Doubt anyone would ever say anything about it.
-
Awesome! I don’t have one negative thing to say at this point about it. Love the ride, love the look. I was concerned about going to a MT tire, but the Toyo is so quiet and runs so smooth. If you do have any further questions let me know, and I’ll do my best to help out.

My last two tanks I have been getting 15.5, that is hand calculating. I usually get around 17 mpg according to the trucks mpg calculation. It took me a few tanks to figure it all out after getting the lift. I also starting using 89 octane when I lifted it, and the truck responded really well to it. I do mostly city driving/country roads with minimal traffic. My worst tank was 13.5 and it was my first full tank after the lift. My hope is that after a CAI and tune I can get to 16.5 mpg or so. Side note, I drive like a grandpa. My wife makes fun of me. Photos I attached are from yesterday. I’ve been able to get closer to those numbers on my round trip to work. That was driving 55 for the majority of the trip.

Yeah, I’ve looked at so many of them. XenonDepot, Morimoto, or VLEDs were the three I’ve tried to read as much as I could about. XenonDepot just doesn’t have many bad things said about them. Hopefully it works out, or I’ll be having to send them back. Morimoto makes a cap extender for their kit, but doubt you can buy it separate. -

Didn’t actually do anything yet, but I am beyond done with the horrible lighting that the stock bulbs put out in my 2015. On my way home there were two deer in the ditch that I couldn’t see until it would have been too late (with high beams on) Luckily I’ve driven the road for years and know that it’s time for them to be active. So...I took advanced of XenonDepots 20% off sale today and ordered the LED Pro kit for my truck, and a set of LED Fogs. I know it’s not the best thing to do in stock reflectors, but I’ve read that on the ‘15 they aren’t as blinding due to the way the housing is made. I plan on upgrading the assembly down the road to remedy the entire situation. -
I appreciate! Now it’s time to meticulously finish off the exterior.

I appreciate it! I sent you a PM with more information.

RC 2.5" inch lift and 35 inch tires

I have the 3.43 gears in my 2015, and I don't have any issues with 35's on my truck. I also do not tow anything, but normal driving it is just as responsive. In my opinion this is not as much of an issue on the newer vehicles as is was on older trucks. -
Thought it would be fun to add the build of my 07 Silverado regular cab. Bought it in college and drove for 7 years until it was time for my little man to join the world.

From the album: Ol Red
Detailed the heck out of this truck before taking it to the dealership, they were overly impressed with how clean it was inside and out after 140K miles.
