  1. I don't buy that it drops to zero after a year. I have a 2015 Sierra Denali with about 2700 miles on it. I need to change it now, but my OLM still says about 30 percent and I have never changed the oil. Bought it last Aug,
  2. http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/181989-2016-gmc-headlights-in-a-2015/page-3 Again - no direct knowledge, just what's on this thread above.
  3. Wish I knew. There are multiple threads on it though, and it's mentioned here as well as on the consumer complaint site (again, referenced in one of these threads).
  4. Sure - Some dealerships have apparently converted/installed the 2016 headlamp assemblies into 2014/2015 trucks in response to customer complaints regarding poor lighting. My question is basically - how did they do it, and did it work right?
  5. Looking at doing this on my 2015 Denali. Question is - "What is the dealer doing for a harness when they convert people under warranty/" I know the Gen5 harness is mentioned as an option but I am assuming two things for the installs the factory is doing under warranty: 1. That all features and functions work as they should - to include DRL. I imagine it would be a further liability issue if GM was to install these otherwise. 2. They are certainly not using the Gen5 harness, so how are they getting it to work with the 2016 lights? Anybody have any thoughts?
  6. Would love to if this work thing wasn't getting in the way . Give me a shout if you you have any questions though. I'll pm you my number.
  7. Assuming you are installing yourself, hit me up if you have any questions. Time consuming but not that difficult an install.
  8. You can go on camelcamelcamel.com and put in a target price and it will alert you when the price gets there. It will also show you the price over time.
  9. Think I paid 1060 from Amazon with prime shipping with plug and play.
  10. Hey guys - how do you remove the upper dash part - closest to the window that goes the width of the truck. Does that make sense? I search for a you tube video or manual reference and couldn't find one. Thanks!
  11. Another vote for the Amp powers steps. Love mine!
  12. Technology has changed a lot in 6 years. The ones I am talking about will start the car WITHOUT a battery as well. So drained or not makes no difference. $59 at WalMart and works like a champ.
  13. Only thing I would add is that instead of jumper cables, I would get a small portable starter pack. They are about $59 and are about the size of a small external portable hard drive. And for all the skeptics - they work like a champ. I can't tell you how many times I've used mine on OTHER peoples cars and trucks. I remember one guy in a Dodge with hemi broken down and looked at me like I was crazy when I hooked this little bitty thing up to his car, but it started first time with no issues. The other benefit is that they all come with a USB port or two so if you are in trouble and your phone is dying, you can always charge it from the starter pack as well.
  14. I have only had my truck for a couple of months but a power slider was a must for me. When I had the 2003 Ram I sold before I bought the Denali, I routinely put long boards, trim, etc in through the rear window so the ends would fit in the bed. I love being able to do that without climbing in the back seat to open the window.
