I will say this - and this may hurt some feelings here... I have been shopping for trucks for two months now. I assure you guys that I've spent some serious time driving a bunch of them. My test drives often go for 15 to 24 miles. Even without the shakes in the odd model of Chevy (but another new 2015 Silverado 1500 that I drove all day, and a GMC Sierra that I test drove didn't have the shakes), all models of the 1500 GM platform gave the worst ride quality out of GM, Ford and Ram. Every time. I was told when I drove a loaner Chevy 2015 Black-Out Silverado that this was just due to the suspension being new. I drove that thing all day (so approximately 100 miles on it that day) since this was the current loaner my boss had since his 2015 Silverado has the severe vibration issues (fifth new loaner vehicle I've seen him in). But I also drove a 54,000 mile 2014 Silverado. It was much later that night, like at 10:30 PM, that I realized that the ride quality of 2014/2015 GM 1500 trucks was just shit compared to their competition. Still, if I get one for a low price and without the vibrations I will buy one. But it would have to be a lower price than Ram or Fords go for, for sure.

Finally test drove a 2014 with the vibrations. The salesman thought I was nuts for demanding a drive on the turnpike, but he headed back inside and grabbed a dealer license plate for the highway. Once at 75 MPH, sure enough I said 'well, there it is... I'm sorry, but this is a non-sale." To which he replied "Yeah, I feel it." Damn, this thing was the right price and the right year/engine, and ran like a raped ape. But I ain't gonna buy no shaker unless they dropped the price unusually low. Like $16,500 out-the-door for a 2014 used truck. They'll find some ghetto fool that will drive it around at 45 MPH, like it, and buy it I'm sure.
