I have a 2 inch level with 285 55 20 A/T's and see no loss on Hwy mpg, but about 1 mpg loss for city driving. Overall averaging 18.1 mpg over 10,800 miles so far. GMC SLT 4x4 z71 with 5.3 & 8 speed transmission.

I'm running 285's and they fit great PLENTY of room on 2 inch level. 305 50's are wider and a hair shorter and I think would fit, but there is a possibility of rubbing. 285's are typically a 10 ply tire compared to the 305 50's which are typically P rated (4 ply). 10 ply's stiffen the ride a little, but not too much. All depends on your driving conditions. I love my Hankooks

What size wheel you running? If 20's, a 275 65 20's should fit. (34 inches tall)

I bought my RC 2inch level from RC for $49.95. Took it to my local tire shop and had them install it and an alignment for $125. Grand total of $174.95.

I would probably just wait until your kit gets installed and have them put the wheels & tires on. They're going to have to take the front wheels off anyways to put the lift on. Plus, you'll get the full effect all at once with the lift and tires!! Take pics and share once you get it all completed, wheel/tire combo looks sick!

A question for you AMP step guys.. 1. Are they farmer proof? I wish I had a UTV at every farm but I don't and I'm not always in the farm truck. 2. Can I bury my truck to the frame and not mess them up? 3. Do they tuck up tight enough where I won't rip them off? 4. If I am going through a low water crossing will this damage them? 5. Also do they protect from rock chips any? That was my favorite thing about OEM steps because that's all they were good for. I really hate how I slide in and out of my truck, but on all my other trucks with OEM running boards I always stepped over them and got damn dirt on my pants from brushing them. Everyone says they are worth the money, but I don't want to spend the money if I'm going to end up "redesigning" them from my farm & hunting activities. Thanks for the help!

Well the option is there depending on if you have the aluminum or steel control arms. If you have a z71 it should be aluminum control arms. If your not positive go out and take a magnet off your fridge and see if it sticks or not (will not stick to aluminum). The only difference is the length of the bolts between the two. (the bolts for the aluminum control arms are longer) Hope this helps.

I have the 2 inch RC level on my truck and I sit 3/4 of an inch higher in the back than in the front. Every truck is different but I am happy with the way mine turned out. I didn't want to be super nose high every time I put something in the back or pulled a trailer so it worked out well for me. Best way to get want you want in height is to measure your wheel well height and decide how much you want it to raise the front, then go from there. (1.5, 2, 2.25, 2.5 etc.) You will also have to get a front end alignment after installing any lift to prevent premature tire wear. Just picked up my 2016 GMC Sierra from the shop today. 2 in RC level and 285 55 20 Hankook Dynapro's 10 plys. I'm going to be posting more pics under the thread I started as well as any changes I've noticed and MPG changes after I run a couple tanks of fuel through it. 20% tint on just front windows.
