  1. The new wix 10255 and 10255xp just recently replaced the 57045/xp The new filter has a higher bypass valve setting of now 22 psi which GM requires/recomends for the new Gen 5 Ecotec engine. The filter your using now is ok, and has a bypass valve setting of 12-15 psi . It will be fine, but start buying the new updated filter.
  2. Yea it's a 2017, it has plenty of time on warranty. I'm not to worried about it, just was curious if anyone else has already been through this and knew what would be the cause and fix.
  3. I've got 2 of these emails now. From that diagnostic above it looks like they would only replace a battery cable at most. Do you guys think if I just disconnect the battery for an hour or so that might help reset things, and maybe then the OnStar emails might stop?
  4. I got an email from OnStar about a possible problem with my starter motor or it's connection, for my 2017 5.3L Silverado. Just curious if anyone has had this alert before, and if you took it to the dealer what was the cause and fix for this. Thanks. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  5. My 2017 5.3L makes the exact same noise as in the video. If you ever goes to the dealer to get this fixed, please let us know. I too believe it has something to do with the high pressure fuel pump, but the question is, is how long will this pump last before it fails, because this noise can't be normal or good since all of them don't do it. My 2015 5.3 never made this noise.
  6. So is there no drain plug on the bottom of the radiator then? I haven't looked yet.
  7. You would need to pull the drive shaft out. Nothing with axles.
  8. So do you know why exactly the stock chrome 20 LTZ wheels won't work with the zone lift. Is it the stamped steel control arms or just how the zone lift is made. Why wouldn't wheel spacers work to allow the stock 20's to work???
  9. Yea, yours is gorgeous... I think you have the 4.5 zone lift... correct? I just can't commit to that, too much money, have to cutt and can't go back, and mostly I'm not sure how long I'm going to keep the truck. Those are the wheels I have and must keep.,So... What size tires do you have? What control arms? Any wheel spacers?, ( i know the zone lift pushes the tires out some up front) Any rubbing anywhere? Thanks, again it's beautiful.
  10. ^^^Thank you Bayou-AllTerrain
  11. Love the truck. Just what I'm looking to do. 3.5 superlift with sst pro is what I want. I have so many questions. I have the same truck, but in the Silverado version...2017 Crew Cab,4x4, stamped steel control arms, is what I have. So I have the chrome 20" LTZ wheels, they are +27 offset. What offset are your wheels? Are you running any wheel spacers? Any rubbing, anywhere? According to Cooper, you're 295/60/20 tires spec out at 34.29 x 11.5 inches. I'm debating between those or the 295/55/20, which spec out at 33.07 x 12.3 inches Or maybe even the 305/55/20 which is 33.5 x 12.4 I don't know what would look best, I like a wide tire but I'm concerned with the stamped steel control arms...any thoughts??? And don't want to run wheel spacers if I don't have to. But I must keep my factory wheels. Also, do your tires actually measure out to the specs that Cooper lists on their website? How's the ride on the 3.5 superlift? Any firmer than stock, has it settled in better now??? How are the CV angles, Upper and lower ball joint angles. ( I know they give new UAC'S)... Any pictures of angles would be greatly appreciated. Any other pictures of the truck would be great too, like to see how wide those tires look. Wow, I know that's a lot, thank you for any information you can throw my way. Thanks.
  12. Oh, and the guy that originally made the video hasn't answered any comments/questions on it, so I don't know if he ever figured it out.
  13. I hear you. I got a mechanics stethoscope coming, I'll poke around with it to narrow down where it's coming from. I'll let you know, but it may be a while. It's probably not serious, but it can't be normal because not many other trucks make this same sound, or more people would have commented on this, it seems we're just lucky!
  14. If you go to the dealer for this, or figure out what it is, please let me know. Thank you.
  15. I really don't think it's anything to do with the lifters or valve train. And it's not a normal DI sounds. It sounds like an accessory to me, most likely the vacuum pump. I just haven't had a chance to check it out yet, I'll put a mechanics stethoscope on it to narrow down where it's coming from. It's a distinct sound, that's why I was wondering if anyone had this. Thanks all.
