  1. Your satellite radio runs off of a completely different antenna, so if you use satellite radio get any antenna you want because it’s not going to be affected. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Depending on how close to the city you are you can get away with most stubby antennas. I live about 30-45 min outside the city and have the ronnin 4” stubby and I didn’t really lose any reception for FM. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Check out gorecon or spyder. I know on gorecons website it says for 16-17 but before I ordered mine they said they will work for a 2018 they just haven’t updated the website. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Got my recons installed over the weekend!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Got my lights in and installed them! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Hello All, I got my truck back in January and have done some tinkering here and there but havent been able to throw up any pictures until this last week so I thought Id add to this thread to show off what Ive done so far. Threw on some N-Fab side steps 5% tint in rear, 20% on front two windows, and 5% eyebrow tailgate badge removal the bilstein 5100 suspension swap which leveled it out within 1/2" and allowed me to mount my 33" nitto ridge grapplers. Installed a flowmaster super 10 series and had it dumped right before the rear axle. Ronin Factory stubby antenna Frame Hole Plugs Bed rail plugs WeatherTech Floor Mats S&B Cold air Intake I ordered my gorecon blacked out LED tail lights for trucks that have factory LED's and they should be in by today!! Also have my 3M vinyl to black out the red on the Z71 badges just havent gotten to it yet. I still need to order the Bakflip folding bed cover. Also want to do a full grille swap and install the TREX x series. Also need to get the black powder coated SDHQ skid plate to do the full airdam removal(removed lower portion already).
  7. I ordered them Monday and they are supposed to be in tomorrow so as soon as I install them I’ll let you know. But ya you can use the halogen lights from your factory tail lights. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I found the recon ones on eBay for $400 between the taillights, led back up lights, and the 3rd brake light I saved $230. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. completely understand that! so im assuming you had the factory leds so with the recons was it still a plug and play to get the new lights installed or did you have to do any wiring at all?
  10. The spyders and the recons look almost identical from the pictures, why did you take the spyders off? I love the red accents on your truck btw! I seriously considered doing the same thing but decided to debadge the rear and black out everything else... kind of having regrets lol
  11. I was able to find them on eBay for $400. Ya they are definitely a little pricey but they are pretty much the only ones out there. I know spyder is in the process of releasing some but their website doesn’t even have pictures of them yet so who knows how long that will take. Also the way I see it is after I install the new lights I can sell the factory LED’s for atleast $300. Factory LED’s retail brand new at $500. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. https://gorecon.com/product/chevy-silverado-16-17-150025003500-replaces-factory-oem-led-tail-lights-only-also-fits-gmc-sierra-15-17-dually-body-style-with-factory-oem-led-tail-lights-only-oled-tail-lights-smoked-lens/ On the website it says 2016-2017 but I called twice just to make sure and they will fit a 2018 lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. So I had a 2015 midnight edition but i got rear-ended by a 19yr old and it got totaled last November.... So after the insurance check cleared i went and bought a 2018 midnight edition in January!! Luckily I was able to rip some of my old mods off my 2015 before they took her away and reuse them on the 2018. I was able to save my NFab Steps, my 33" Nitto Ridge grapplers(only had 4k miles on them when wrecked) mounted on factory midnight edition rims, my weather tech floor mats as well as some other smaller interior mods. Since getting the 2018 I have done: 5% tint in rear, 20% on front two windows, and 5% eyebrow tailgate badge removal the bilstein 5100 suspension swap which leveled it out within 1/2" and allowed me to mount my 33" nitto ridge grapplers. Installed a flowmaster super 10 series and had it dumped right before the rear axle. Ronin Factory stubby antenna Frame Hole Plugs Bed rail plugs S&B Cold air Intake I ordered my gorecon blacked out LED tail lights for trucks that have factory LED's and they should be in by friday. Also have my 3M vinyl to black out the red on the Z71 badges just havent gotten to it yet. I still need to replace the Bakflip folding bed cover that i was unable to reuses after the wreck. Also want to do a full grille swap and install the TREX x series. Also need to get the black powder coated SDHQ skid plate to do the full airdam removal(removed lower portion already).
  14. Depends on the labor rate. With bilstein 5100 adjustable front struts, rear shocks, and mounting my 33” nitto ridge grapplers it was $860 for parts, labor, and tax. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Im looking to change out my grille and have narrowed it down to the T-Rex stealth X-Metal series. My issue is they make two different styles, the overlay and the inserts. Their website is a little unclear as to the install for either of them. I know the difference between an overlay and an insert but there is a review on the overlay that states it is not in fact an overlay. I was hoping someone on here has done one of these swaps and has some insights. for anyone who has done a true swap how difficult was it and for anyone who has done an overlay can you see the preexisting grille behind the new overlay? TIA!!
