  1. hey folks, i've been obessing about this built for a few years now and i really want to do it. I want to purchase a 24 sierra 3500 gas, Regular cab 4x4, i want to remove the longbed and build my own flat bed and custom order a Bison camper. I want to remove the rear window and weld a left n right cover n open the middle as a pass thru. is this all too ambitious? am currently on a 16 sierra 1500 5.3 crew cab 6 spd, with a permanently mounted travel lite truck camper 1500lbs heavy. only driven on trips, zero commute. love my truck, went thru a transmission at 60k miles. aside from the look of the new 3500, i just want a dedicated camper thatn can do some offroad, my current camper will not do any offroad, its too overlloaded feeling. The real reason is I dont want to pull a trailer anymore, i want to build a rack in the back to haul a 550lb adv bike, and i want a pass thru to the cab.
  2. I too plan to order my Sierra, Regular Cab short bed, it sucks it only comes in a Pro base model and 2.7 engine. Im going to make the most of it and get as much options as possible. Ill be looking for the wheels from the SLT and I made this rendering. Im really dead set on a regular cab standard bed ( NOT long bed). I have a 16 Sierra crew cab SLT Z71 im almost paid off, but my truck camper is semi permanently on it, so I want to build me a new truck I can offroad in. Mild lift, 20" slt wheels, 275 65 20 KO2's Im hoping to get the factory fog lights with the stock switch, i see this can be bought later for the 2021 so i hope i can do this on the 22-23. Im ok with the old interior, i hear the regular cab wont be getting the new dashboard. Not even a push button start, tho i dont care for those.
  3. this might be a stupid question... when the key is out of the truck for a long time, is the radio suppose to work? I am trying to locate a parasitic draw to the battery. my problem is there is power in the hitch now all the time, it used to shut off after a moment after taking the keys out. power in the hitch connector should turn off after awhile correct?
  4. Hope ya'll can help. 16 gmc sierra crew cab 4x4. im at 53k miles. I have a truck camper semi permanently on the truck. lately there is power in the camper coming from the truck even when the camper battery is disconected. I dont usualy disconnect the camper plug that goes to the hitch connector but now i have to because there is constant power in the hitch now. is there a fuse to this? what turns this off? help!
  5. Only mods are 1" front spacer, rear airlift airbag, 18 Travel Lite 610R camper
  6. question, im very happy with my truck the way it sits though i want to level the front with just a micro lift, like a half inch lower spacer. would i still need alignment for that small of a mod????? thanks
  7. im planning on just a 1" front lift using the spacer on the lower A arm. Do ya'll think an alignment is stil necessary after?????
  8. real nice looking. I think i will do this too but just 1" lift in the front. since the tire is slightly bigger, slightly better mpg on highway? what do you think?
  9. thanks yall, yall got some sweet looking trucks, giving me too many ideas now.
