  1. In addition to the water leak it was 21 degrees for the opening of trout season today and my parking sensors decided I was going to hit invisible ghosts and starting beeping non stop. Then on the way home as the 6 inches of snow was melting on the roof of my truck I was watching slow drips of water trickle down in my rearview mirror. Not a good sign considering I have not even burned through a quarter tank of gas yet! I reached out to the contact I used with my last truck at GM Priority care and got a case number opened up. He was going to contact the district rep to see about a buy back. My main point of contention is that this is a known and documented quality control issue with certain build date trucks, and GM should be requiring dealers to verify there are no water leak issues before an early build truck still on the lot can be delivered (now that they know there is a problem). 2. I'm gonna drop my truck off tonight after getting back from opening day of trout season. I already called the guy t customer care that helped me out with my 16 k2 troubles and left a message to open a case number and call me this morning. Fingers crossed. Did anyone get offered an extended warranty or maintenance plan for their troubles? Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  3. So my truck has been sitting on the dealer lot since late August 2018. Given how wet my headliner is on both sides and the amount of water dripping on the seats, I am assuming it has been doing this every time it rained since last fall? So that is what headliner, front and rear window, seats, carpet, rear window motor, all the sound proofing material that needs to be replaced? What about the side impact airbags that run along the roofline? Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  4. I feel like I want to puke at the moment Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  5. Guess I just joined the club on my two day old truck Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  6. If they have the entire rear interior pulled out, you are missing a golden opportunity to get some dynamat installed to sound proof things. I removed the rear seats and carpet on my 16 and did sound proofing. It is a lot of work. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  7. So not a single LT or RST with a leak on this forum? Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  8. Ordered a leer 100 xl with removable front slider. Will post pics of install in 3 weeks! Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  9. We need to get someone working on a wiring diagram to be able to turn on the mirror task lights when the vehicle is driving. If I am driving through the woods at camp during the night, those mirror lights would be real handy Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  10. If your truck comes with the perimeter lights in the mirrors, fold in the mirror all the way and you can light up your entire yard or that big buck standing off the side of the road. Pic below is looking out my driver window perpendicular to my truck. You can see a good 100 ft. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  11. Trail Boss with black 6 inch running boards. De-badged from the dealer and ready for mud. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  12. Here you go. Found these on Facebook Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  13. I am picking up my new trail boss tomorrow. I got summit white because my last truck it seems like an easy color for leer to match. My current 16 100xl is spot on the color in all lighting. My local guy that has always been the cheapest and best installer said $1999 plus tax including install for a 100xl with a leer coupon for a free upgrade to a removable front slider window or $50 off. I called a couple other local places and they wanted $2200 to $2300. Of note if you are considering a cap/topper leer has a great pug and play t connector for the wiring that does not require the installer to splice any wires or install a ground wire. So take that into consideration. My father has a ranch cap on his 16 and his is a mess of spliced wires and he has had his cap replaced twice in 2 years for paint issues and leaking windows. I'll be ordering my leer 100xl on Saturday. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  14. The trail boss I am buying has a couple dates listed late August 2018. Vin 107xxx. I looked at the back seat on the final test drive the other day and didn't notice any signs of water. It has been sitting on the lot for 6 months I am sure if it was going to leak it would have by now. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  15. How do you figure out the build date from the last 6 digits of the VIN number? Or is it listed someplace on the truck or window sticker? Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  16. Leer Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  17. Different angle Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  18. I am guessing that is a leer in satin steel, but damn that color match looks horrendous Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  19. Found a few more pics on Facebook. The only thing I don't like is the recess for the third brake light on the back of the truck cab. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  20. So you are saying then this RST that is already $11k off msrp you could use the educator of about $3k to make it $14k off? Something just tells me that won't work.....they list additional discount available as educator. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  21. Hey I'll give it a shot. Thanks Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  22. My wife is a teacher so I could get this. Just to clarify the educator discount is essentially the "reduction below MSRP" on most dealer websites, just you get a little extra right? You are not actually getting an extra $4k off right? It's more like a few hundred more off than if you didn't use it? Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  23. I'm guessing that raised bump on the new calipers is what is hitting on the k2 rims Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  24. Who did your rims and how much did it cost? Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  25. Adjustable pedals are available on most mid level and up F150 and Ram 2019 trims. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
