  1. With mine before taking it in to dealer Monday, I just put the garden hose (no nozzle) on the roof of the truck with a light stream of water back and forth, and within 10 seconds there was water dripping inside the truck. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  2. Thanks. Is that the whole thing? Is there a pdf with pictures? Does it say what to do about damage to the interior and headliner? Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  3. Can anyone provide a copy to the tsb for the repair? Usually I can find them online but can't seem to get this one. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  4. I'll be getting a Leer cap so the lip from the cap will probably overhang the TB sticker so I figured it would be best to just remove it. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  5. Thanks. With the $100 Chevy mail in rebate plus the $200 gm card mail in rebate I can get LT 275/65/18 load range C Goodyear Wrangler At adventure Kevlar installed at the dealer for $500 total before tax. They might not be the best tire in the world, but for that price they should be good enough and provide a much quieter ride than the duratacs and still give me some "dirt road" ability which is all I do for off road. 6. The Chevy build website says lt275/65/18C so I am guessing they are load range C then? E rated tires are about $75 per tire more expensive Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  7. I was thinking of having the dealer swap out my duratacs (keep them for winter rims) and put on a quieter all terrain tire while it is in the shop for the leaking rear window. Since my truck isn't with me to check, does anyone know what load range the OEM tires are? Looking at the gm my certified service website there is quite a difference in price for the LT 275/65/18 load range C vs E. I am not a tire guru so not sure what load range tire our trucks need. Thanks Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  8. Good point sir. 40k @ 3% for 6 years which I can get from my credit union is $580 interest total first 6 months. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  9. So would you rather have them apply sealant to the outside rear spoiler area where they said it was leaking and steam clean the headliner water stains, or trust them to rip the entire inside of the truck apart to replace headliner and interior which would include removing the windshield and rear window? I don't notice any water stains on the leather or carpet, just the headliner. No musty smells either. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  10. Coming from a 16 k2 to a 19 trail boss I have noticed the 19 has a very week return to center on the steering. As in you go around a corner and you have to help the steering wheel back to center, it won't do it on it's own. My 16 would whip back to center very strongly and all I had to do was provide a little resistance to control the speed of the return. I thought perhaps it was the trail boss suspension and duratrac tires causing it, but now that I have a 2.7 turbo LT with stock suspension and 17 in street tires as a loaner and it does the same thing. Is this something there is a software update for somehow or it is what is and get used to it? I am not familiar with how they changed the steering design from 16 to 19 Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  11. I guess my main concern is the side impact air bags. Don't they come out of the back corners? Should be be concerned that with my headliner getting soaked so multiple times that the air bags would be damaged? I have not noticed any funny smells or and discoloration of the leather seats even though I know they got wet multiple times. Also I think the fact that I parked on a steep driveway with the front end higher all the rain from the entire roof went towards the back window. If I had parked nose down I might not have gotten barely any water in the truck. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  12. Sorry once I have paper title in mail from DMV showing gm financial as lienholder. My credit union will need the actual title before they let you refi. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  13. I received a call from gm customer care that the district rep was at my dealer ship to inspect my vehicle today. About all I know at this point. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  14. $40k loan at 7.29% for 6 years, the total interest payment after 6 months would be roughly $1,418. So that is about equal to the $1,500 they gave you. To my knowledge I did not sign anything that says the dealer could come after me. I asked the finance guy straight up if I could refi after I get the title and he said yes, they just would not get their incentive. Considering they will probably make $5k to $6k on my trade sale, I think they will do just fine. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  15. Then might be the first time I say NY is better than Florida... Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  16. Must be different in your state. Mine doesn't say that. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  17. Slider or Fixed window? US or Mexico build? That really sucks. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  18. It's basically like a mail in rebate. They know x number of people won't bother. To me it is just a bad customer experience and I hope GM quits doing it. It doesn't even seem as though offering someone bloated financing with a rebate should be legal. It might be 7 % apr but the first month you will pay about 35% in interest which will graduly taper down to 1% by the last payment of the term. So if you make 3 payments on a $40k 6 year loan that's about $730 in interest. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  19. I looked over the loan contract from GM and it says nothing about any length of time. Do it as soon as the title arrives. Dont let the dealer give you a sob story about them making money if you keep it for 3 months. I plan to make one payment which should give time for the title to arrive then refinance. 20. I see that some of the lots in NY are starting to have Vin numbers starting with 3 to signify a Mexican assebled truck. If you custom order a vehicle, do you have control over whether its final assembly is Mexico or US? Or is it luck of the draw? Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  21. Yes De-stickered would be a better way to describe it. I left the badges for now as they don't bother me as much as the stickers. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  22. You definitely make good points. In my case I picked it up late Friday, and had the issue Sunday morning. So I didn't get a couple weeks, more like 15 miles with the vehicle. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  23. Just purely hypothetical, if GM offered you free oil changes and tire rotations for 75k miles, and extended your bumper to bumper warranty to 5 year 100k miles, and the truck was repaired, would you take that, or a new replacement truck with no extra warranty or maintenance?
