  1. If Siri is working directly on your phone, it could be something with the trucks microphone. Or something else on your truck. It doesn’t sound like a phone issue any longer. I don’t use Siri for calling in my truck, I use the Chevy assistant or whatever it is. Anyway, a little while ago, it would act like it couldn’t hear me. Kinda similar. I actually brought it into the dealer, and they restarted the radio. That seemed to fix the problem. (They actually unplugged my dash can and my blamed it on that, but continued working when I plugged it back in.) All of this to say, try and restart your hmi unit in the truck. I’m not sure of the exact procedure, but it doesn’t fully shut down when you turn off your truck from my understanding. Unhooking the battery or pulling a fuse jump to mind, but maybe there’s a more elegant way?
  2. I’ve had similar problems with them in my truck since the beginning. I got two replacements, but it must be something from my trucks side. Every 10 or so times I started my truck, one of the lights wouldn’t fire. It wasn’t only one side, but when I had the bulbs replaced, the problem persisted. I went back to the OEM after a month or so. They work 100%, every time for me. Not sure why I kept having problems. I got them through a group buy, and I felt like I was being a jerk when I had problems after 2 replacements, so they’re sitting on a shelf. I enjoyed them when they were working. 3. As others have said, this sounds like an issue with your phone. Short press on the talk button gets you to the built in voice commands, long press goes to your phone for Siri to handle. Some things you can try if you haven’t already: Turn on airplane mode, then turn it off. Check the security settings and make sure Siri is allowed while the screen is locked. Try using Siri by using the button on your phone, outside of your truck. A hard reboot probably couldn’t hurt if nothing else sheds any light on the problem. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. If you go to the dealer, double check they didn’t just add resistors and said they flashed something. Not that I’m skeptical or anything... just jaded. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Ive actually had this happen as well... Mine would “pick up” when I hit the button, but never hear or understand me. Really annoying. So it’d be telling me what I can say, go ahead, etc... I’d be yelling at my truck. Handsfree calling still worked, so it wasn’t the mic. Brought it by the dealer and after 30 minutes they came back and said it was fixed. They had unplugged my dash cam and it started working. I’m not one to argue with success, but I ended up plugging it back in after leaving and I haven’t had a problem since. Who knows. I think it’s likely a coincidence that it started working right then. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. Just an update: after getting ios12, the problem has disappeared. Maybe it was a problem on Apples side. I’m having other, non-CarPlay related issues... maybe they can update it anyway while it’s in the shop... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. Mine just arrived... it’s v8.4 green. Works on my 16, so I figure I’ll wait to send it in until they have an update for the 19s in case I ever decide to upgrade. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. There are options out there. It should be super simple for an installer for the most part. Some of the alarms interface with the truck and have it do all of the work. I believe xpresskit is what’s used for directed, viper, Clifford, etc. You can look up the website to see the install instructions and capabilities. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I have the 107sx and my only complaint is the nipple size... very hard to keep a tube attached in my experience. If I sit and babysit it, no problems. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. Is it possible to key the lock to the old key if he just got one lock? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. I would guess that option is only available when there is a route active. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. When was the last time you filled it with gas? I’ve heard of instances where the station somehow filled the tanks with water or something. Never know. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Just curious... does it ALWAYS route you around interstates and highways? If so, there’s a setting in there that controls your preferred roads. I don’t have the navigation option, so I can’t tell you exactly where. But, it’s there. I’d make sure that stuff is setup correctly. Not that android auto or CarPlay aren’t great... but if for some reason you needed this Navi, it’d be nice if it’s working properly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Wow... my truck is nearly identical and I thought I got a good deal at 34... dang! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. Yup. It’s tied to the map data used for the navigation. As others have pointed out, this can be out of date. Be careful. Very cool feature, though. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
