Yes I am talking serious stop and go Philadelphia Roosevelt boulevard driving all the way up the boulevard at rush hour. It’s about a solid 45 minute stop and go drive . Takes me about 45 mins to go 9-10 miles normally , really bad traffic could be 1-2 miles in 25-30 mins which does happen a handful of times a month thank you for your input! Yeah the Ppe pan I am not set on just yet. Does seem like a good idea but for the price of $300 I’m not sure

Hey, I tried looking up some info , my main concern is that in heavy stop and go traffic my trans gets up to about 210-215 max. I have the updated lower temp thermostat , Factory cooler . question is, i want to install mishimoto trans cooler. How much will that help with temps? if I did a thermostat bypass and the mishimoto trans cooler, from my understanding my trans temp will be very low in the winter ? here in PA we get very cold winters. What do you cold climate guys have done to your transmission to help temps? also , fluid changed 30k ago. Will be doing Amsoil fluid and Ppe pan with drain shortly thanks guys!

Found a 2019 Silverado 2500hd rear axle , gt5 g80, same as my truck, I’m aware of the bolt pattern difference. But otherwise would everything else bolt right up?

I am considering swapping to the ctsv/ZL1 converter also. I have a 16 Silverado 5.3 6l80 full exhaust, tune , 6.2 intake, what’s the stall ratting on our stock converter , and what’s the stall rating on the CTSV/ZL1 converter? Is there really any benefits going to one of those converters?

I have texas speed long tubes with high flow cats now . Would highly recommend and I would suggest wrapping the headers also. Get the L86 intake manifold, direct swap. I have that also. tune with blackbear performance. Great tuners over there. fyi, if you go longtubes with or without cats , it will be very loud unless you a quiet/mild catback.

I had 275/70r18 on stock 18’s on my 16 1500, rubbed pretty bad with no level, put 2.5” level on and no rub at all. Did rub on motofab upper control arms though

I agree with everyone else here. The 6.2 intake swap is very common and I just did this swap . You will need a cold air intake due to bigger throttle body oem 6.2 intake manifold - 12639087 oem 6.2 throttle body - 12678223 I also did texas speed longtube headers, and catted y, and jlt catch can at the same time. With blackbear tune. I can’t tell you what that intake mods felt like exactly . But it’s a completely different beast now . Highly recommend the intake swap

I have a 16 Silverado 1500 5.3 4x4, I was using ac delco PF63E #12690385 But recently recieved a PF63 #12707246 which oil filter am I suppose to be using?

Yes they have done a bunch of previous work for me. I’d hope they’d do something to but we’ll see when I go in. I’ll be sure to mention I realized the fluid was barely on the dipstick . Around 3,500 miles if I had to guess. I gotcha, yeah I’m never an ass going into these places for issues. At the end of the day they are the ones that will be fixing it , hopefully Atleast haha.

So guys. Have a question for ya’ll i got a trans filter drain and refill done on my 16 Silverado 1500 4x4 5.3 at the dealership about 2 months ago just because I plan on keeping my truck for a while . Started hearing some very strange noises/grinding almost but would go away, most noticeable in 1st and 2nd and occasional burning smell when stepping on the gas. checked trans fluid level today after driving it and fully warmed up , fluid is barely touching the end of the dipstick . I have an appointment to go in this week and just curious if I should request a new trans or something due to the dipstick barely even showing fluid while hot. Long term I’m sure this will cause issues. what’s your guys thoughts on this?

So far no. I can see one side of the front bushing starting to crack though. I’m almost positive I’ll be ditching these control arms within the year .

Can you guys help me out? This noise is horrible when cold, also makes noise it seems only in 1st and 2nd gear for a little till it warms up. Debating on taking it into the dealer .
